Harness Tips

Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Addington Harness on Sunday 12 July.  Addington Harness Race 1 4 Zeus Each Way A couple of tidy runs from Zeus (4) since resuming from a short let up and the fitness levels should be reaching peak now. Much better draw to work from and if he can hold a forward position without doing a stack of work then he’s more than good enough to win this.  Selections: 4-7-8-3-2  Addington R1 – HILLCREST AGISTMENT MBL PACE Open Race time:  4. Zeus (4) J: Brett Thomas 08455T: Brett Thomas 8.00WIN 2.15PLACE Useful runs of 2nd…

Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Invercargill Harness on Sunday 12 July.  Invercargill Harness Race 1 7 Rakamick A string of second placings in the last few starts tells the story of Rakamick (7) here today. Deserves a winning turn and should really get one here today too. Not as strong of a line up of rivals as some of the recent runs and will be driven confidently, so looks a strong bet to start the day.  Selections: 7-5-9-3-12  Invercargill R1 – CRAIG & DYLAN NO.1 FOR 2026 @ HARCOURTS MBL PACE Open Race time:  7. Rakamick (7) J: Carter Dalgety 65222T:…

Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Addington Harness on Friday 10 July.  Addington Harness Race 1 5 Gunslinger Willy Superb victory first go at the races from Gunslinger Willy (5) and he looks a horse capable of going right on with it over the coming months too. Steps up here and takes on some smart and hard types, but the raw speed is there and if he gets the chance he’ll put it on full display.  Selections: 5-9-4-2-6  Addington R1 – IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION MBL PACE Final Race time:  4th 5. Gunslinger Willy (5) J: Riley Harrison 1T: Robert & Jenna…

Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Addington Harness on Sunday 5 July.  Addington Harness Race 1 10 Lasa Huge effort here last week from Lasa (10) after getting things wrong in the score up. Had no right to finish as close. Tricky draw here, but the speed should be good so will be looking to hunt gap lates and have the final say at them in a very even field.  Selections: 10-5-12-2-4  Addington R1 – SOUTHERN PORK AMATEUR DRIVER CHAMPS HT 3 MBL PACE Open Race time:  10. Lasa (1) J: Blair Wilmott 12524T: Cran & Chrissie Dalgety…

Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Invercargill Harness on Sunday 5 July.  Invercargill Harness Race 1 6 He Aint Fakin It’s all in the first few hundred metres with He Aint Fakin (6). If he can get his way around the first bend and find himself in a rhythm, then he’ll keep pressing on and destroy this field. However, there’s a fair amount of risk with that, so it’s a tread caution approach to start the day.  Selections: 6-5-2-4-3  Invercargill R1 – MCKNIGHT & BROWN HCP TROT Open Race time:  6. He Aint Fakin (6) J: Brad Williamson 11p18T: Phil Williamson 1.85WIN 1.08PLACE Got it wrong last start…

Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Addington Harness on Friday 3 July.  Addington Harness Race 1 10 Harry Belafonte He went out favourite from a horrible draw last time out and wasn’t bad, but things look a lot better for Harry Belafonte this week and he’s paying huge money. Should get the right trip on the markers behind the right kind of horse and with a bit of luck at the right time can be a major each way player here.  Selections: 10-7-11-4-2  Addington R1 – LISTEN LIVE ON SPORTNATION.NZ MBL PACE Open Race time:  10. Harry Belafonte (1) J: Stephen McNally…

Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Cambridge Harness on Friday 3 July. Cambridge Harness Race 1 1 Cyamate The inside draw here should play a big role in the chances of Cyamate (1). With a bit of early speed gets all the options early on how to play it and you’d imagine the goal will be to stay as close to the speed as possible. Better than some of the recent form and can win this.  Selections: 1-6-8-3-5  Cambridge R1 – DAILY DOUBLE NZ AMATEUR CHAMPS HEAT 1 MBL PACE Open Race time:  1. Cyamate (1) J: Cheree Wigg x6187T: Steve & Amanda Telfer…

Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Alexandra Park Harness on Friday 26 June.  Alexandra Park Harness Race 1 6 Waltzing With Miki A couple of handy enough fifths in the last two appearances from Waltzing With Miki (6) and both should stack up pretty well here. Has been operated off wider draws than that which is handed down today and capable of making his own luck in this field and getting the better of all challenges. Selections: 6-5-3-2-4  Alexandra Park R1 – ALEX BAR & EATERY SOUTH OF THE BOMBAYS MBL PACE Final Race time:  1st 6. Waltzing With Miki (6) J: Benjamin Butcher…
