Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Addington Harness on Sunday 5 July.
Huge effort here last week from Lasa (10) after getting things wrong in the score up. Had no right to finish as close. Tricky draw here, but the speed should be good so will be looking to hunt gap lates and have the final say at them in a very even field.
Selections: 10-5-12-2-4
| 10. Lasa (1) J: Blair Wilmott 12524T: Cran & Chrissie Dalgety | |||
| Terrific after making a meal of the score-up last week. Tough with any gaps here | |||
Some really sharp work from Silent Witness (3) in all of her public runs ahead of today’s debut. Looks a pretty quick winner and with her high turn of speed she could be hunting victory today easily. Should find a good spot from the draw and be close enough turning for home.
Selections: 3-1-7-8-5
| 3. Silent Witness (3) J: Ricky May T: John Morrison | |||
| No further back than 2nd in 6 trials/w’outs. Odds sure to reflect that today. EW | |||
Decent drop back in grade for the capable Justa Rippa (7) today. Come sout of a race taking on Scrunch last time out and before that the likes of Tempo Warrior and Trump Card. Has more ability than most in this, just needs the right trip to bring him into play.
Selections: 7-8-5-3-1
| 7. Justa Rippa (7) J: Kevin Hall 43608T: Greg & Ben Hope | |||
| Plugged closer from the rear last week. Tricky alley to work from; needing luck. | |||
Right kind of race today for Jordan Anne (3) to just jump and run. Thrives on those kind of opportunities and is going good enough to lead up this field and run them off their feet. Some handy enough ones chasing, but none coming out of the kind of races she has.
Selections: 3-7-10-6-9
| 3. Jordan Anne (3) J: Charlotte Williamson 45594T: Matthew Williamson | |||
| Battling OK in recent starts and should find this easier. Major hope on speed. | |||
Nice up grade in draws here for Longview Tui (4) after copping a second row draw last week. Wasn’t bad afterwards but will thrive on a better opportunity here. Not a deep field of rivals here either so should be right in the fight.
Selections: 4-2-3-14-8
| 4. Longview Tui (4) J: Samantha Ottley 0x587T: Ken Barron | |||
| Found line with purpose 7 days ago and form solid this campaign. Major prospect. | |||
Took on a decent field here a couple of weeks ago did Better Man (7) and tried to lead up before tiring late. The prior effort when coming from off the speed was excellent and anything close to that today should see him breaking maiden status.
Selections: 7-3-5-10-9
| 7. Better Man (7) J: Robbie Holmes 24526T: Robbie Holmes | |||
| No peace in front last week. In good touch and very competitive despite marble. | |||
Two really good runs in the last two efforts on Friday night’s from Kairaki Spur (1). Drops back to Sunday grade here and should be a quick winner. Trotting really well and just needs a little luck from the inside draw.
Selections: 1-5-2-9-8
| 1. Kairaki Spur (1) J: Jonny Cox 60956T: Warren Stapleton | |||
| Caught the eye 2 back here and 19 June run had merit. Clear hope with clean step | |||
One more go for Ultimate Seisation (6) after not getting all favours here last time out. Simply better than the form line suggests and from the draw might look to roll forward and keep them honest here. If in front and getting own terms, will be hard to catch.
Selections: 6-2-9-3-1
| 6. Ultimate Seisation (6) J: Seth Hill 3×859T: Brendon Hill | |||
| Devoid of luck here, 21 Jun after close 2nd-up attempt. Has claims off front row | |||
