US Open 2026: Men’s Day 7 (Sunday) | Tips & Preview

The US Open is currently underway at Flushing Meadows, and tennis expert Evan Psarras has provided us with his best betting plays of Day 7.

Alexander Zverev
vs
Alejandro Tabilo
12:10pm* Sunday | Arthur Ashe Stadium
Tabilo To Win a Set – YES ($1.80)

Consecutive five set matches and almost 10 hours already on court with both matches ending in the early hours of the morning place the top seed in a very vulnerable position. He now meets Tabilo at Flushing Meadows for the second year in a row but based on what we have seen, he will not be replicating the comfortable 6-2 7-6 6-4 win that he had over the Chilean twelve months ago. We tipped Halys to take a set off Zverev and it is surprising to see that we are getting close to even money for Tabilo to replicate that effort.

Tip
Best Bet: Tabilo To Win a Set – YES ($1.80)

Karen Khachanov
vs
Benjamin Bonzi
5:20am* Sunday | Court 17
Khachanov -3.5 ($1.83)

When Auger-Aliassime struggled to account for Hijikata in the opening round you knew that something wasn’t right. He took the opening set off Khachanov but was nowhere to be see after that with the Russian winning 18 of the next 25 games. The reward for an upset win is a battle with Bonzi against whom he has won both prior meetings. That includes a crushing straight sets win over the Frenchman at the Australian Open in 2022 in a match that also included a bagel. Khachanov does not have a phenomenal record covering the start as the betting favourite but the -3.5 is too small.

Tip
Best Bet: Khachanov -3.5 ($1.83)

Jakub Mensik
vs
Learner Tien
12:10pm* Sunday | Louis Armstrong Stadium
Over 38.5 games ($1.83)

As we saw against Monfils, one of Tien’s biggest strengths is absorbing an opponent’s power and using it against them by taking the ball early. He will employ similar tactics here but it will be more difficult as Mensik will be closer to the baseline than the Frenchman. The only prior meeting between this pair came at the Next Gen Finals a few years ago with Tien winning a very close encounter. Mensik thundered down 24 aces in that match, won significantly more points (110-96), and has been a tough out at the majors this season. This will be a seesawing contest that could go all the way to a fifth set.

Tip
Best Bet: Over 38.5 games ($1.83)

Taylor Fritz
vs
Francisco Cerundolo
3:30am Sunday | Arthur Ashe Stadium
Fritz -6.5 ($1.83)

America’s Taylor Fritz has been in some mood in the opening week. He dropped a total of only two games against Bellucci and has made it abundantly clear that he is going to play an aggressive brand of tennis. It is working in his favour and he gets another favourable matchup. Fritz beat Cerundolo 6-1 3-6 6-3 in their only prior clash but what makes the results significant is that it came on clay – Cerundolo’s preferred surface and Fritz’s worst. Fritz had a total of only 5 aces in that three set match and I can assure you that he will average more than that in each set played here regardless of the length of them. The home crowd will have plenty to cheer.

Tip
Best Bet: Fritz -6.5 ($1.83)
