Eagle Farm racing tips are the focus for Saturday’s Queensland meeting, with nine races set down for decision.
The track conditions should be fair, with the surface rated a Soft 5 and fine weather forecast. The rail moves out 3m, which gives the meeting a balanced starting point.
Even so, Eagle Farm can be a testing circuit. Runners may be vulnerable if they cover ground, lose momentum or need to make long runs from the back.
That makes the speed map and early positioning important across the card. Our race analysis assesses the key runners, main winning chances and betting opportunities.
Punters should also monitor scratchings and any early track pattern before betting. The way the first few races are run may help shape how later races are assessed.

THINK LIKE PADDY (9) has been working towards a win and now gets to a suitable stage of his preparation.
The Matt Dunn-trained gelding was solid over this course and distance last start, closing well to finish third, beaten 1.57 lengths. That form has since received a boost, with Diamond Show, who crossed the line with him, winning on Wednesday.
His previous run at Grafton also had merit. After drawing the outside barrier over 1400m, he settled a long last before finishing strongly into second, beaten 1.78 lengths.
The barrier is a concern, but Jimmy Orman takes over from the 3kg apprentice and has his first ride back since returning from Hong Kong.

| Form hard to fault. Most recently raced on speed throughout when 3rd of 9 at this track Cl3-Sw on July 25 over 1805m, on a slow track; 1.5 len behind Hovland with 55.5kg at $16. Before that made significant ground from the rear of the field 2nd of 12 at Grafton Cl3 on July 12 over 1410m, 1.75 len behind Prestige Gundy with 61kg at $7.50. Ready to peak after three runs back from a spell. | |||
TRAPALANDA (3) has been close to another win and looks a suitable staying chance in this race.
The Annabel & Rob Archibald-trained gelding comes through a good third at Randwick over 1800m, where he was beaten 1.12 lengths.
There was also merit in his two earlier runs this preparation. He was held up behind a wall of horses at Canterbury two starts ago, while first-up at Warwick Farm he worked home well to finish a close second over a mile.
The rise from 1800m to 2400m is a key factor, but he is now fourth-up and has previously won over this distance when seven weeks between runs.
From the draw, Jace McMurray should be able to give him an economical run with the 1.5kg claim.

THE FIXER (2) resumes with a strong first-up profile and looks suited by the likely race shape.
The Jack Bruce-trained gelding has won three of five first-up starts, which gives him a strong platform for this 1000m assignment.
He has not raced since Sunshine Coast Cup Day, when he produced the quickest final sectionals from last to finish second, beaten 2.15 lengths, over this distance.
His single lead-up trial came against Open Class opposition. With plenty of speed likely here, Emily Lang should be able to settle just behind the pace from a favourable draw.

| Back from a long spell. Finished off last preparation 3rd of 10 at Sunshine Coast Bm78 on January 24 over 1000m, 2.25 len behind Power Of The Brave with 59kg at $20. Won previous preparation first up ran on from midfield and won by a nose at Gold Coast Cl4 July 5 2025 over 1000m in soft going defeating Hidden Melody with 59.5kg at $3.80. Finished fourth in a Doomben trial over 840m on July 28. Will improve on whatever he does in this. | |||
BOONIE BOOM (4) made an immediate impression on debut and looks well suited again.
The Tony Gollan-trained filly won over this course and distance first-up, showing the speed to cross from the outside barrier before drawing clear late to score by 1.06 lengths, with 2.66 lengths back to third.
The strength of that form has since been supported, with the third and sixth-placed runners both winning two Wednesdays ago.
Star Of Jamaica brings clear class, but Boonie Boom meets him 8kg better at the weights. Given she is likely to race on speed, Ben Thompson should be able to make use of that advantage.

| Claiming her maiden victory on debut; won by 1.1 len at this track 2yo F Mdn-Sw July 15 over 1000m defeating Sarigan with 58kg at $4.40. Impressive filly who is a great chance to make it two from two. | |||
MANPOWER (10) brings winning form to this race and maps to be prominent.
The Adam Campton-trained gelding led throughout over 1000m at Grafton last start and was too sharp for his opposition.
He has since returned to the trials and produced a pleasing effort, accounting for his rivals comfortably under his own steam.
His previous Eagle Farm run can be given some forgiveness. He suffered from heat stress but still managed to finish third, beaten 1.85 lengths.
From the inside barrier, Jimmy Orman should be able to use his early speed and give him every opportunity.

IRAMA (12) resumed well and should take improvement into this second-up run.
The Nick Keal-trained gelding returned at Toowoomba over 1200m, where he let down strongly under 60kg to win by 1.8 lengths.
The rise in distance is in his favour. He showed last preparation that this type of trip suits when beaten a head over a similar distance at Doomben.
With limited early speed engaged, Jake Bayliss should be able to place him in a forward position and allow him to build into the race.

JUST FLYING (4) comes here on the quick back-up after a strong closing effort at Doomben.
The Rob Heathcote-trained gelding finished third, beaten just under a length, over this distance last start and was strong through the line.
There is a positive reference around the back-up. The last time he raced seven days later, he finished a close second over 1820m at Eagle Farm.
He now drops in class and carries just 1kg more after Bella Youngberry’s 3kg claim. From a favourable draw, he should get every chance to be in the finish.

COSMO CENTAURUS (2) resumes with an excellent first-up record and looks well placed at 1200m.
The Rob Heathcote-trained gelding has won three of four first-up runs. His only defeat fresh came last preparation when he settled too far back over 1000m before closing strongly into fourth.
The rise to six furlongs is suitable, and he won over this course and distance in a stronger race last preparation.
He has had a trial to prepare for this return, and the booking of Ben Thompson adds further confidence.

ANEMACORE (1) looks well placed in the final race and rates as the best bet on the program.
The Shaun Dwyer-trained gelding drew the outside barrier over this course and distance last start, settled a long last, then closed strongly to finish second, beaten just under a length.
That followed a narrow third in the Listed Glasshouse Handicap, where he was beaten a neck, so his recent form is strong for this grade.
The improved barrier is important, as he has not drawn this well for some time. Michael Rodd should be able to settle him closer than last start, which gives him a clear winning chance.
