Exciting pacer Cee What Mickee (5) resumes from a spell here and does so with a really sharp trials win under the belt. That will have brought him right on, but a run will help even more so he is vulnerable tonight, despite being the best in the field. Right run and his speed will take him close.

Got to the front last week and never looked back and with the confidence levels sky high, there’s no reason why Chocta (6) couldn’t do it again here. Shifts to the mobile, but can still roll forward and if he was to find the front then it’s going to take a good effort to catch him.

Chased hard and was very good here two weeks ago behind Joey Arden and with that experience under the belt, you’d expect Fundraiser (3) to be pretty hard to catch here. Smaller field so a little more tactical, but the right man in the bike to negate that.

Left parked last time out and while Major Doosie (7) looked like the winner at the top of the straight, the effort told late. Dangerous if he gets cover as he’s very fast and could simply just reel these in if he gets the opportunity. Looks a great chance.

Three public runs for three wins and each a little better from Bord De La Mer (4) too. A smart horse from an astute stable with the ability to step out on debut and win in what is a very good maiden field. Handy draw helps and he looks very hard to beat.

Another eye-catching effort from Chester Gold (10) here last week to mirror the two previous performances. The step up to the 2600m here looks ideal and if he can get a little closer to them then he’s more than capable of storming home over the top of this line up.

Missed away behind the tapes last time out, but go through the prior efforts of Foliejon Star (8) and it’s pretty easy to see he should be the horse to beat in this. Has been taking on some very good stand start handicap assignments and running big races. Wide draw to overcome, but good enough to do it.

One of the finds of the winter months so far has been Scrunch (15) and he’s got all the earmarks of a really nice country cups horse come spring. Bit of work to do here from the outside of the second row, but can make his own luck and looks awfully hard to stop with the right run.

Another valiant effort in defeat here last week by Almighty (4) set the tempo up and looked to have them all in trouble only to be collared on the post. Won this race last year and looking for a repeat. The form says she is more than ready to do it too.
