Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Addington Harness on Sunday 21 June.
Led them up and did all but win here last week did Art Jordan (5) but gets another shot at the prize here today and should be primed to take it. Racing well and while he’s never going to win them in a row, he should just keep picking up money and looks a strong each way bet to start the day.
Selections: 5-3-7-13-12
5. Art Jordan (5) J: Carter Dalgety 20052T: Alan Russell
Held up around the last bend last week and by the time the gap opened up for Tuppence (5) the race was all over. A little easier here and can sit off the speed and look to have the final say. Can be quite potent in that state too.
Selections: 5-2-7-1-8
5. Tuppence (5) J: Gemma Thornley 7×235T: Brian Fahey
She’s trotted herself right into form Waihemo Hannah (2) and expect her to really press on with it now. Doesn’t mind doing a bit of work in her races and it took a very good performance from Moroubra to get the better of her last week. That form well stacks up here.
Selections: 2-4-15-6-12
2. Waihemo Hannah (2) J: Riley Harrison 08822T: Kenneth Hannah
Really nice debut effort from Blu Diamond (11) here a couple of weeks ago. Will have taken a lot of benefit from that too. Might need a little bit of luck from the tricky barrier draw but with a nice run through was good enough on debut to suggest a win here would be no surprise.
Selections: 11-4-9-12-7
11. Blu Diamond (11) J: Ricky May 3T: Terry May
Caught the eye late last week after getting well back from a horror draw and but for a check 200m out Donttelltheboys (4) would have finished a lot closer. The run at Ashburton two starts back is a better indication of the chances here and driven confidently early can control this from the top end.
Selections: 4-11-1-12-14
4. Donttelltheboys (4) J: John Morrison 9×030T: John Morrison
Two runs back from a spell by Ultimate Seisation (11) and they’ve been behind Seeking Clarity and Route Sixty Six. This is a massive step down in grade and if she can get close enough to the speed from the second row draw then her class will take her a long way in this race today.
Selections: 11-2-4-10-13
11. Ultimate Seisation (2) J: Ricky May 23×85T: Brendon Hill
Won’t win them in a row Sans Repos (14) but will do more good than bad out on the track most weeks. This race today might set up ideally with a bit of speed up in front and if there’s a little luck at any point and a nice drag into the race presents, then look for a big run late.
Selections: 14-6-5-7-15
14. Sans Repos (14) J: Ricky Alfeld 98194T: Danni Alfeld
Superb effort here last week from Aradne (5) when working from off the speed to charge into the race late. Is a trotter who tends to hold the form pretty well and this is easier than last week so has to be afforded a really strong chance here in a wide open field.
Selections: 5-8-6-10-7
5. Aradne (5) J: Seth Hill 37092T: Bruce Negus
Capable pacer Baltic Star (5) returns from wee freshen up here and can more than make the presence felt. Good when saved up for the one run at them and in genuinely run races can be quite dangerous. Needs the trip, but can win it.
Selections: 5-6-9-2-3
5. Baltic Star (5) J: Michael House 13175T: Michael House
