TAB has Behemoth Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 3 race at Morphettville in Adelaide, where 13 runners look to add black type to their record.
Sir Now is the current $5 favourite with Behemoth Stakes odds, so it’s a wide-open field over 1200m, and there are many value options for punters to enjoy.
Punters get each-way value for Cicala, who looks well-placed after two runs this preparation. The 5YO mare finished fourth behind Lingani and Sir Now last start, but she was only a length behind the winner.
With fitness on her side, she should be right in the thick of the finish again, and it’s only the wide barrier that plays against her. However, Rochelle Milnes is likely to send her forward and be positive from the barriers.
She owns four wins from seven starts overall, with three of those wins coming at Morphettville. Her most recent win came by 2.5 lengths in August last year, so it has been a year between drinks. However, she enjoyed a nice spell, and she should be ready to fire with two runs under her belt.
Her opening odds at TAB of $8.50 have firmed, and we’re happy to put her on top in our Behemoth Stakes tips.

It’s tough to bet against Sir Now, so we’re not leaving him out of our Behemoth Stakes predictions.
The current $5 favourite is a model of consistency, having finished in the first three in 19 of his 26 starts, which is a fantastic record. He doesn’t know how to let punters down, and he doesn’t always get the best luck in running.
The 5YO is a runner who likes to sit on the speed, so from barrier 11, he’ll need to fire up early to cross the field. He’s good at jumping well, so we’re not too concerned about the Behemoth Stakes barrier draw.
If Connor Murtagh can find a good spot in running, Sir Now is the runner to beat. He’s as tough as they come, and he has been in work all winter. He’s rock-hard fit, and well worth including in Behemoth Stakes picks.

Great Maximus is also nominated for racing at Caulfield Heath on Saturday, but we expect the local to line up at Morphettville.
The 6YO has been racing in tough fields recently, including running sixth at Flemington last start. That followed placings at Caulfield and Flemington, and if he brings that form to Adelaide, he has a good chance of winning the Behemoth Stakes.
Being a past winner at the track helps, and jockey Harry Grace is riding well to start the season. His confidence levels are high, and the same goes for punters, who backed Great Maximus in from an opening $17 price.
His winning form shouldn’t take much longer to arrive, and at the current odds, he’s an excellent value bet for each-way and SRM punters.

Punters get big odds with our Behemoth Stakes SRM, which includes all three of our selected runners.
We have Cicala Top 3, Sir Now Top 3, and Great Maximus Top 5, which pays $12 at TAB. That’s an excellent price for a same race multi with a high chance of cashing, and we’re locking in the value odds.
Great Maximus pays $2.15 for a top 5 finish, which is a great value price, and considering he’s $1.45 in outright top 5 markets, the $2.15 price in SRM markets is worth snapping up to boost payouts.
