Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Palmerston North Harness on Thursday 8 January.
Has been busy of late, but it’s been successful too for Koko Kaboom (5). Excellent victory last Friday on the grass and not too bad at Alex Park the start prior in a good field. Big handicap, but all bar one are off big marks, so shouldn’t be too far from them and hard to beat.
Selections: 5-6-4-3-2

While beaten last time out, Jahi (2) was far from disgraced and this race sets up pretty nicely for the capable pacer. A few options early to choose from and with a nice trip just off the speed should be able to join in late and have the final say at a nice quote for a small field.
Selections: 2-3-1-4-6
2. Jahi (2) J: Brooke Wilkins 23394T: Stephen Doody
One start for the Michael House barn for one very good second for Big Gee (3). He’s a pretty handy horse on his day and should relish this way of life over the coming months. Gate speed is there, so likely to roll forward and be handy and be the horse to beat.
Selections: 3-1-9-11-8
3. Big Gee (3) J: Wilson House 76602T: Michael House
Off the back of a very good Alex Park run on New Year’s Eve, Shezabettorgirl (8) delivered in style last week and can go on with it too. Very fast when saved up for one run and might not get the worst trip in the world from the draw here today. A cold shot makes her dangerous.
Selections: 8-7-3-1-5
8. Shezabettorgirl (8) J: Kate Coppins 55361T: Michael House
After a strong maiden win at Cambridge, things haven’t quite gone to plan for Silent Theory (4), but wouldn’t be surprised to see that turn around here. Should relish the small field here and if able to get out and be trucking around the final bend will give them something to think about.
Selections: 4-2-3-1-5
4. Silent Theory (4) J: Wilson House 33177T: Michael House
