After finding the front and setting terms last week, Itmusclebelove (5) was a little too good for them in what was a slightly stronger field than this. Goes to the 10m mark this week but a small field should play into the hands and a similar run nets a similar result.

An impressive first up victory here earlier this month by Tipstar (6) might be the start of a bit of a run. Has always possessed decent ability and won with plenty of authority. Not a huge jump up in grade here and from the good draw should be hard to stop.

A strong return to racing with three seconds from three starts for So Mystifying (8). Building in fitness beautifully and should be ready to go on and pick up a win here, even from the wide draw. Just needs that little bit of luck at the right time.

Stonewall Stud pacer Iron Heart (2) returns here fresh up off the back of a spell. Took on some pretty smart maiden fields in the last campaign and showed enough to suggest that a victory won’t be long in coming. Sets up beautifully here.

In a handful of runs here in the North, Melton Mogul (8) has been very good. A couple of strong victories and a couple of luckless runs. Can settle off the speed tonight and let them go to war before joining in and having the final say.

Not much doubt that Forgiveness (6) at her absolute best is the best horse in this race and the small field with only a 10m handicap gives her the perfect chance to show that. High speed mare who should be running on strong and hard to stop.

A small field should really play into the hands of Blazing Louie (6) here tonight. Four runs under the belt following the spell so ready to really rock and roll on with the campaign and looks a strong winning chance here.

A strong trial performance here on the track by Brass Razoo (8) will have the Nicky Chilcott trained runner on the radar for plenty. Still a bit to learn but no doubt the ability to win a maiden quickly is there and with manners should be close tonight.
