Tidy effort fresh up from a spell here by 7 Forgiveness last month and you’d think with a bit of natural improvement under the belt that she’d be more than capable of going one or two better here tonight. Small field certainly helps. Look for her high speed late.

A wee slide down in grade here tonight for 1 I Can Too and he looks more than capable of making the most of it too. Doesn’t really run a bad race, just does enough each week to make you think the next win isn’t far away. Won’t get many better chances to grab a win than this.

After getting little to no favours at all the important times last week at Auckland, 1 Oakley lands something a little more fortunate here tonight in the shape of the ace draw. A nice horse in the making and really from tonight’s barrier should be able to lead and dictate this.

Rinse and repeat time for 2 Lincoln La Moose here. Too good for most of these rivals here last week and with the aid of a run under the belt he looks an even stronger prospect here. Should punch forward early and be prominent in the small field and from there be tough to bowl.

In terms of ability, not many here would match it with 4 Kings Watch but he’s not yet the full package racehorse. He’s getting better, no doubt. But still has the odd trick. That said, he should be able to treat this like a trial and make it his own and deliver.

A bit like his stablemate in the last race, 6 Auctioneer has the ability to easily put away a field like this but often finds a bit of trouble or makes things harder for himself. Might not be stopped tonight though with only five rivals and offers up a nice price to end the night.
