One for the brave. There’s a scenario here when 6 Whats Up The Hill does everything right and doesn’t look back. Unfortunately there’s the side that gets it all wrong and doesn’t take part too. Banking on the manners being here and if they are, he comes the best of the day.

No doubt that 6 Dixieland Delight is one of the drop back horses of the night here. Has spent the past few months chasing some really smart ones and should relish on the opportunity presented. Has gate speed, but doesn’t need to lead to win. Can come from off a good tempo and be equally as dangerous. Nice chance to get back in the winners’ circle.

Always respect for a Purdon Racing 2YO and while 4 Just Us Two didn’t show his best at Auckland on debut expect some sharp improvement from him here tonight. Small field is a help and gives plenty of options early but based on some good trials and workouts looks to be a race he should be able to control.

Hot stepper off the tapes, 10 Kiss And Run slides in here pretty nicely having been in some good fields up the road at Auckland lately. Handicaps aren’t too much of a concern because when he begins it’s like a rocket so should eat up the handicap. If able to find a nice spot quickly then becomes one of the leading contenders and quite hard to beat.

Not a lot went right last week for 1 Barbarossa after a strong effort for second and steps out against largely the same field too. Having the ace draw is a huge plus and if Benjamin can hold up enough to lead them. Shouldn’t be too far off them, though no matter what happens and has speed and toughness to boost him along and make him hard to beat tonight.

Impressive victory from 8 Melton Moguk to land some rather large plunges a couple of weeks ago. And won with a bit in store to suggest that it won’t be the only victory. Cops another wide draw here, but the field doesn’t look all that much stronger and if able to sit off the speed and wind into late another victory would come as no surprise. Just needs that little bit of luck.

Stonewall Stud unleash 3 Upstage here from a freshen up and find the perfect race to get the new campaign underway. They’re forming quite the alliance with Jacob Dunn too. Not a deep field, and not a large field and after taking on some pretty smart challenges last campaign should find this right up the alley.

In a maiden field without a lot of form and without a lot of manners, 1 Pirayas certainly stands out. Has enough ability to win a few races and at times has shown that and gone close. Won’t get many better opportunities than this one tonight though. Just needs to get it right from the inside barrier and if that unfolds then should be well in play throughout.
