Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Addington Harness on Wednesday 15 October.
Quite a drop back in grade here for 7 Auntie Deb today after stepping out against some quality fields on Friday night’s of late. Is talented on his best day and if he was to find the right kind of spot on a good tempo he’d have too much class for this field.
Selections: 7-3-6-5-2

A long time maiden, but one who always knocks on the door, 10 Fear Gogh has been in some career best form of late without actually winning one. Looks to have the perfect kind of set up here from the second row with a good run through likely. A cold shot at the top of the straight and can deliver.
Selections: 10-4-5-2-1
10. Fear Gogh (10) J: Blair Orange 55242T: Peter & Mitchell Robertson
Got it wrong early here last week but 5 Alotoftrouble can pretty quickly bounce back in this. Just needs to find the right feet when they say go. The third two starts back was excellent and any king of repeat in this would be a winning effort.
Selections: 5-6-1-2-4
5. Alotoftrouble (5) J: Jonny Cox 837T: Korbyn Newman
Two really good runs since resuming from a spell from 8 Betterthanbabe. The first behind Wavewatcher at Timaru and the second behind Elton J here last week. Both of those would be odds on here. Wide draw to contend with but has speed so could round them up late.
Selections: 8-2-1-6-7
8. Betterthanbabe (8) J: Wilson House 21×32T: Michael House
Lovely slide down in the grades for 6 Buffy Northstains here. She’s been knocking around in some pretty good fields of late and hasn’t been disgracing herself either. Manners are generally pretty good, just needs to land in the right spot to unleash.
Selections: 6-7-11-2-3
6. Buffy Northstains (6) J: Mia Holbrough 60389T: Bruce Negus
Lovely work through the line last week from 3 Seaside Pond, signalling that he’s back on track and closing in on a win. Nice set up here, best when saved for one run but shouldn’t be too far off them and a chance if able to get the right trip.
Selections: 3-8-2-1-6
3. Seaside Pond (3) J: Jonny Cox 5xp53T: Jonny Cox
Too far back last week in a better field than this was 9 Lorton Vale and cops another wide draw. Going good enough though, just needs that right kind of drag into at the right time and with any luck could get over the top of them all late.
Selections: 9-6-6-7-11
9. Lorton Vale (9) J: Olivia Thornley 2×528T: Michael House
Not a lot of exposed form to speak of in this two-year-old trot, but did like the trial of 4 Petite Armour at Rangiora. Looked pretty sharp and showed a bit of speed. From the good draw here should land on the speed and with manners will be hard to beat.
Selections: 4-1-9-14-10
4. Petite Amour (4) J: John Dunn 6xT: Robert & Jenna Dunn
Still looking for room from The Mot on Sunday, 4 Flyaway continues to race like a horse who just needs a little bit of fortune to win a race. Nice set up here in a field not as strong as some of the recent challenges. Best version of her wins this.
Selections: 4-1-9-5-2
4. Flyaway (4) J: Robbie Close 52360T: John McDermott
