Some super work of late from Mr Cash Man (8) down in the deep south, but he’s trekked up to Canterbury a few times and been a major player too. Good tempo here will bring him right into play, especially if he can get a nice drag into it at the right time.

The money came thick and fast last week for Dance Hall Girl (5) on debut and she ran a cracker for second. Won’t be a maiden for long and looks well placed here with a good draw advantage over her key rivals. The one to beat.

A little panicked early on debut and rolled into a gallop, but the effort for second afterwards from Montara (2) was that of a pretty smart filly. If she can get through the first few hundred metres today then she should be right on track for success.

Tidy effort fresh up from a long spell by Christian Bale (9) last time out and with natural improvement off that should be right on song for a strong showing today. Has always looked capable and might be ready to rock and roll this campaign.

More good than bad of late from Zeus (8) and he really rounded things off strongly late here last week to just come up short. Will get one soon and with a little luck from the wide barrier draw can stalk into this nicely and be hard to hold out.

An impressive Addington Friday night winner, Mynameisjack (4) takes the next step up here and it will be intriguing to see how he handles it. Looks a nice horse and the form around him has been franked with Easton Doll winning last week. On speed, looks a decent chance.
