The weekend’s thoroughbred best bets from across the Boys Get Paid community.
Whanganui, Race 7: 5th in the Marton Cup but within a length of some good horses. Beat Kattegat the start before who has strong form around it. Has won at Whanganui, four starts over the distance for a win and two placings, and gets barrier two so should have a good trip. Hopefully a nice little fill up whilst on the bus ride to Karaka Millions!
Riccarton, Race 6: Great win last week at Wingatui in the same grade, gets an extra 1.5kgs this week but is 1/1 third up. Wynn on board from the inside barrier should get a nice soft trip and be too good for them.
Riccarton, Race 7: Has been expensive this campaign but this should be the go at 2000m and a good track. Has won five at the track and is two from two at the distance (both at Riccarton). Good track is the key. This could be a nice fill up before the Punters Club closes.
Riccarton, Race 8: Copped a heavy track fresh up and finished ninth. Has a good second up record and won a trial very nicely on Tuesday leading into this. Yet to win at Riccarton but has posted four second placings here including one behind Perfect Scenario three starts ago.
Riccarton, Race 9: Finished well in restricted room last time. Wider draw may not be an issue this time.
