We have Toorak Handicap tips and predictions for the Group 1 1600m race at Caulfield on Saturday.
Toorak Handicap odds have an even betting field available, so punters get generous odds.
Salty Pearl headlines our Toorak Handicap predictions, and punters get double-figure odds.
The Ciaron Maher-trained mare has been competitive in both runs this preparation, finishing third first-up before running fourth in the Let’s Elope Stakes at Flemington. She was beaten by only 0.7 lengths last time and gets the perfect opportunity to improve again at 1600m.
She drops to just 52kg, which is a significant advantage against several of the better-fancied runners carrying considerably more. Craig Williams takes the ride from barrier 7, giving her a nice opportunity to settle in a good spot.
She has been threatening to win a good race, and there is stable confidence with her, so she goes on top.

His first two runs this preparation haven’t produced the results we’d hoped for, but there are excuses, and he is capable of much better.
He was last in the Memsie Stakes first-up before finishing 12th in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes, but not much went his way, and he tends to find his best form at this time of the year.
Ethan Brown takes the ride from barrier 10, so the main challenge will be finding cover and avoiding being caught wide. If he can get the right trail into the race, his best form is good enough to put him right in the finish.
He needs to improve, but $10 is a fair price for a horse we’re prepared to give another chance. We priced him slightly shorter, so punters get value odds.

Warnie is our best roughie and could be the runner to give this race a shake at double-figure odds.
He was impressive when winning the Chautauqua Stakes at Sandown before stepping up to the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes. He finished sixth there, beaten only 2.5 lengths by Angel Capital, and that effort suggests he’s not completely out of his depth at Group 1 level.
Mark Zahra should be able to save ground throughout and potentially settle much closer to the speed than he did last time. He also tends to produce some of his best form around this time of year.
At $11, he’s an appealing runner to include in Toorak Handicap tips. He could shorten on race day as well, so take the price.

Punters get value odds with our Toorak Handicap SRM, which includes our three selected runners.
We have Salty Pearl Top 3, Sabaj Top 3, and Warnie Top 5, which pays $45.00 for our three-runner SRM.
There is a lot of value with our same-race multi, and although all three of our runners are paying double-figure odds, the risk is worth the reward given the big odds available.
