He’s done everything but win in three starts back from a spell this time in but Rakaquattro (4) might just be able to turn that around here today. Gets a key barrier draw advantage on main rival and with a confident Blair Orange drive should be right in the fight.

She can be a bit in and out at times, but generally when Aspirational Dream (5) finds form, she holds it for a while. Very strong second at Ashburton last time out in a field much stronger than this one. Mobile conditions suit and if she’s close enough, she’ll win today.

After capping off some handy runs with a victory at Winton, expect Shezza Vinny (3) to carry that on here today. Lands a good draw to work from and if able to get onto the speed nice and early then looks a strong chance of going back-to-back.

Not much went right on the trip up to Cup Week for Julie Jaccka (7) but the win prior to that was stunning. She joined in for fun and ran past most of these with ease. Will be looking to do the same again today off the 40m back mark and she’s got some friends there to help with the work.

Major league drop back here for Miki Knows (7) today. He’s been running around up in Canterbury in behind the likes of The Lazarus Effect, It’s Tough and Bettors Anvil so should really enjoy the relief. Dour pacer but might be able to put them to the sword here and win.

A nice type back from a spell out of a stable that has them ready to rock and roll, Always Be Bootie (12) looks a strong chance today. Made a good impression in the first campaign but always looked a horse who would improve with racing and time. Could be in for a big campaign.

Lovely work in the latest run from Off The Canvas (3), really found the line with purpose and is building nicely toward a win. Lands in here well with a good draw and might look to take bad luck out of the equation and dominate them.

A tragedy beaten in a good field at Ashburton, Party Up Denario (4) gets a chance at atonement here today. Racing really well without a whole lot of luck but with a sweet trip and cold shot today should be able to get the better of rivals.
