Midweek metro racing takes up to Rosehill Gardens on Wednesday, October 14th and eight races make up the program.
The rail will be set out 4 metres around the entire course and while we’re faced with a track rated in the Good (4) range at publish, plenty of rain is forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday, and downgrades are expected.

In four runs back this time, Affari has incredibly finished the runner up on all four occasions. In peak order this week and with options in the run from the rails draw under James McDonald, this is her chance to win.
| 8. Affari (1) J: James McDonald 55kg x2222 T: Chris Waller | |||
| Recent form sound. At the latest run 2nd in a small field in a 3yo Mdn at this track on September 30 over 1200m, 0.8 len behind Barracks with 57kg at $1.90. Before that 2nd of 8 in a 3yo Mdn at Canterbury on September 16 over 1250m, 0.6 len behind Saffron Veil carrying 56.5kg at $10. Expected to go well again. | |||
Snitzel’s Girl has shown ability in three appearances since debuting; finishing on the placegetters’ heels in races at Canterbury and here at Rosehill since resuming. Fitter third-up this week, down in the weights under Zac Lloyd, she looks to get plenty of ticks.
| 14. Snitzel’s Girl (3) J: Zac Lloyd 54kg 3×44 T: Chris Waller | |||
| Third-up today. First-up 4th of 9 in a Super Mdn-Sw at Canterbury on September 16 over 1100m, 3.5 len behind Crescent King with 55kg at $26. Second run from a spell raced on the speed and boxed on steadily 4th of 10 in a Super 3yo Mdn-Sw at this track on September 30 over 1400m, 0.8 len behind Low Key carrying 55.5kg at $8.50. Racing well. Expected to measure up. | |||
By I Am Invincible and out of Rough Ride, Born To Fly has shown plenty of ability in five public trials, winning three and finishing the runner up in the other two. Zac Lloyd rides, and the filly certainly looks forward enough to win on debut.
| 6. Born To Fly (11) J: Zac Lloyd 56.5kg T: John O’shea & Tom Charlton | |||
| John O’shea & Tom Charlton trained three-year-old filly lining up for debut and was purchased for AUD $ 750,000 (Magic Millions 2025 Gold Coast Yearling Sale). Won a recent trial at Randwick. Will improve on whatever she does today. | |||
We haven’t seen Moscatel at the races since May, but after winning in dominant fashion on debut at Randwick-Kensington, she subsequently finished midfield in the Listed Woodlands Stakes at Scone. With the benefit of a couple of trials under her belt, Rachel King picks up the ride and any improvement in strength and conditions from her last prep would see her well placed in something like this.
| 12. Moscatel (8) J: Rachel King 56kg 16x T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott | |||
| She is resuming after a five months break. Finished off last campaign sixth of 14 at Scone in the LR Woodlands May 16 over 1100m, 3.5 len behind Queen Regent carrying 57.5kg at $2.40. At her first start favourite; to post a big 4.5 len win. Randwick Kensington 2yo Mdn April 27 over 1100m defeating Sing Your Song carrying 56kg at $3. Will be ready to rumble fresh up. | |||
Grafton Street hasn’t missed placing in four starts since debuting and returned to winning form with an eye-catching performance over 2140m at Warwick Farm last month. In peak order now, getting out to the mile and a half suits, while Rachel King retains the ride from a good barrier.
| 3. Grafton Street (1) J: Rachel King 59kg 1×321 T: Bjorn Baker | |||
| Form hard to fault. Most recently won by a nose in a Bm72 at Warwick Farm on September 23 over 2140m in soft going defeating Pierro Lad with 57kg at $4.40. Before that 2nd in a small field in a Cl1-Sw at Hawkesbury on September 5 over 1800m, 3.5 len behind Mister Rizz with 59kg at $5. Rises significantly in weight but still holds plenty of appeal. | |||
Puntin has raced in consistent form in recent months and after a couple of near misses in Saturday metro company, he was sent to the country at his latest start to record an easy win in a Dubbo Gold Cup. In peak order, this is a great opportunity for him to return to metro company.
| 6. Puntin (5) J: Adam Farragher 56kg 32421 T: Bjorn Baker | |||
| Recent form sound. At the latest run favourite; won by 1.5 len in the Dubbo Cup on September 27 over 1600m defeating Tom Vegas with 54.5kg at $4.20. The run before that tried to lead throughout but was claimed late 2nd of 10 in a Bm78 at this track on September 12 over 1500m, long-neck behind Silvanito carrying 57.5kg at $6.50. Expected to take some running down. | |||
Metallic Cat has hardly put a hoof wrong since debuting, and she returned to action with a nice performance to only just miss behind West Of Darly here a couple of weeks ago. With natural improvement, she’s unbeaten at this point of her preparation and is my best bet of the day.
| 6. Metallic Cat (4) J: Adam Hyeronimus 57kg 211×2 T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott | |||
| Second-up. First-up after six months set the pace for much of the race 2nd of 14 in a Bm72 at this track on September 30 over 1200m, nose behind West Of Dalby with 59kg at $4.20. Previously second-up favourite; scored a big 4 len win in a Super Mdn-Sw at Randwick Kensington on March 25 over 1300m on a rain affected track defeating Mumbai Maharani carrying 57kg at $1.40. Sure to run well. | |||
After stamping herself as one to follow with a dominant performance to win easily on debut at Kembla Grange last month, Pulsator franked that when saluting again in Class 1 company at the same track. From a good draw and with plenty of upside, she can certainly go on with it in a race of this quality.
| 15. Pulsator (6) J: Rachel King 55.5kg 11 T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott | |||
| Yet to taste defeat in two starts. When well in the market on debut, won by 2.25 len in a Super Mdn at Kembla Grange on September 12 over 1200m defeating My Ju Ju with 56.5kg at $3.20. Last start won by 1.75 len in a Cl1 at Kembla Grange on September 26 over 1400m defeating Montresor with 57.5kg at $2.40. Hard knock the winning form. | |||
