A few things went wrong on debut here for Alert Mac D (2) but the trial form prior to that run had been encouraging enough. Not a strong field of maidens here and from the good draw with some experience under the belt you can expect a much better effort.

The string of placings from the past four starts tells the story of Rivergirl Bella (1) here. Doing pretty much everything but win however tonight might change that. Ace draw in a very small, even field and if able to hold up and race close to the speed, should be delivering.

20 metre handicap to overcome, but Niamh (8) has been excellent here at Cambridge over the past few months and largely in better fields than this. A good beginning will be key, but good enough to do some work midrace and get onto the speed if she needs too.

Escaping some very strong racing at Auckland of late, Night Moves (1) looks remarkably well placed here. Add to that the one draw and it’s even tougher to see how her rivals are going to get the better of her. Should buzz to the lead and not look back.
