Matt Markham has been through the form guide and speed maps and has provided his race analysis and betting strategy for each of the nine races at the Addington Harness meeting on Wednesday 14 October below:
Some of the best form in the race surrounds KD Grins (4) here but she’s a tricky horse to catch because she needs absolutely everything to go her way. Best when saved up for one run and quite quick when that unfolds, but it’s not a long sprint so a clever drive required here to get her home.
Selections: 4-2-6-1-3
4. KD Grins (4) J: Mia Holbrough 13338 T: John Howe
Superb debut here last week from Ben From Accounts (6) and only a little more luck in running should have him home here. Better draw to use and don’t be surprised if bad luck gets taken out of the equation early and he takes control of this race and delivers.
Selections: 6-2-8-3-9
6. Ben From Accounts (6) J: Sam Thornley 3 T: Sam Thornley
We haven’t seen the best version of Miki Brown (7) for a while and it’s largely of his own doing. Gets a chance to turn things around here and it’s probably going to take an aggressive drive to make it happen. If he can punch forward and race on the speed he’ll win this race but the stars need to align.
Selections: 7-5-4-11-1
7. Miki Brown (7) J: Kimberly Butt 07000 T: Jonny Cox
Went to war early in a very strong field here last Friday night and it told, but Tempo Warrior (4) should find this a whole lot more to his liking. Stand start manners to lead them early and it’s a field he’s beaten many times in the past. His own terms and they’ll need to be good to better him.
Selections: 4-10-8-7-3
4. Tempo Warrior (4) J: Samantha Ottley 66220 T: Mark Jones
Backed up a strong maiden win with an equally as good effort up in grade for the first time last week did Hungry Bronnie (7) and might only be heading in one direction here today and that’s to the top. Bowling along in front looks ideal and if able to find the markers, becomes the horse to beat.
Selections: 7-5-4-2-1
7. Hungry Bronnie (7) J: Sam Thornley 86814 T: Aaron Swain
A massive drop back in grade for Touch N Go (1) this week after taking on the likes of Giorgio Denario and Artful Bromac in the last couple. Has early speed and should race close to the pace throughout. No star but really genuine and if given the opportunity, can win this.
Selections: 1-4-3-7-10
1. Touch N Go (1) J: John Dunn 14798 T: Brian Zampese
Not going bad races of late Okiwi Bay (4) and will find this one a bit easier than some of the recent races too. Gate speed there if they want to use and would be a dangerous commodity if left to her own steam on the top end of proceedings. Nice each way price.
Selections: 4-6-5-3-7
4. Okiwi Bay (4) J: Tim Williams 63675 T: Peter & Mitchell Robertson
Would seem a lot better than just a Wednesday horse, Majestic Me (11) and will relish getting away from some stern opposition of late. Fifth behind Marikit two back and third behind Help Me the start prior, that wins this 99 times out of 100.
Selections: 11-3-6-7-14
11. Majestic Me (2) J: Brad Williamson x0357 T: Brad Williamson
Unlucky not to win here last time out was Dawn To Dark (5) but should find redemption here. Charged through the line that night and might charge away at the top of the straight if able to find the front tonight. Looks the one to beat in a handy enough field.
Selections: 5-8-4-2-3
5. Dawn To Dark (5) J: Adam White 36302 T: Mark Jones
