YOUMZAA (9) has gone up short odds following an encouraging effort on debut at Bendigo two weeks ago over the same trip. 

Matt Laurie’s filly was fast into stride and led most of the way before his condition gave way, settling for runner-up in the edge once Over The Bridge got the better of her over the final 100m. 

She finds a dry track on Wednesday with good improvement still to come and the gate should afford Patrick Moloney every chance to adopt similar front-running tactics. 

TRUE REBEL (10) presents a compelling case coming out of the same as Wednesday’s rival Meness. 

The son to Rebel Dane bolted in down the outside with a late run to grab third in a good go for the line, indicating he’d appreciate racing over further second-up. 

Billy Egan sticks from a similar gate carrying 1kg less and the pair map for an identical run in transit. 

STIPULATION (12) strips fitter for two runs back and looks ready to win now third-up for Ciaron Maher. 

The Frankel filly went down swinging in a ding-dong battle to the line at Sandown last time out, setting up shop close to the speed before Regal Ambition got the better of her not far from the line. 

There was a good gap back to third that day, and with John Allen sticking from an even better gate this time, the extra trip should suit the pair comfortably. 

CONQUER THE WORLD (9) should have his share of admirers second-up for Clinton McDonald. 

He ran an eye-catching third here over a touch shorter on debut a fortnight earlier, steaming home down the outside with a solid turn of foot. 

The gate hurts his chances, but if he can somehow settle back off the speed again and save his best for late under Ben Melham, he’ll be very hard to hold out when it counts. 

ARADEO (8) is a consistent type who is yet to miss the money in four runs. 

She was rewarded with a well overdue win to wrap up her autumn prep at Pakenham over 1400m last time out, and was then sent to the paddock where she’s been given two jump outs leading into her return. 

The daughter to Nicconi has shown a tendency to blow the start, but if she gets away cleanly on Wednesday and settles around midfield, she’ll be very hard to hold out with plenty of late speed and fresh legs. 

AUTUMNHEAT (6) gets out over his preferred trip off a tidy four-week gap between runs. 

He was last seen finishing down the order at Caulfield back over 1800m in a much tougher race, which was slightly disappointing after finishing only 1.5 lengths off over further the run prior in a crowded finish. 

The son to Too Darn Hot presents rock-hard fit now fourth-up from a spell and he should benefit from getting back on a dry track. 

LUNAR FORCE (7) resumes for Robbie Griffiths and is no stranger to winning over this trip.  

The gelding to Ole Kirl won on debut over the mile at Seymour earlier in February and wrapped up his maiden prep with some respectable efforts at Saturday grade over longer trips. 

His two jump outs leading in have only been plain, but this is a decent drop back in class with the inside barrier affording Jamie Mott every opportunity to settle right back off the speed in the early stages. 

SUN DEVIL (4) is a talented four-year-old returning to the track for Danny O’Brien. 

The son to Zousain strung together back to back wins to kick off his career across Kyneton and Sale last time in work, before being thrown in the deep end at Flemington down the straight where he was clearly a little out of his depth.  

Carrying 60kg is a real query, but he’s jumped out well at Headquarters in two heats since and looks forward enough to give 1100m a real shake with good improvement still to come.
