Seven races will be run and won at Warwick Farm in Sydney’s west this Wednesday, 19 August.
The rail will be left in the true position around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Soft (6) range.
You can find this week’s Warwick Farm tip sheet below.
Profitabelle debuted to fill the minors at Randwick back in January and went for a break after finishing down the order in the Inglis Millennium. Having trialed well, this is the weakest task she’s been set so far on exposed form.

Satin Serenade has only made one appearance at the races so far but couldn’t have done a lot more without winning that Canterbury maiden back in June. Having been freshened, she’s trialled up well and again will take plenty of beating this week.

Columbus returned to action with a dominant performance in BM64 company up at Newcastle but underperformed as an odds-on favourite Rosehill last time out. Fitter third-up and back to the midweeks, I think he gets plenty of ticks this time.
1. Columbus (7) 59kg21×15
Bubbles Up won on debut at Rosehill back in February and went for a break after a couple of midfield performances in stronger races. She’s had the benefit of a couple of trials and has options in the run from the rails draw this week.
9. Bubbles Up (1) 57kg154x
Mr Miller has hardly put a hoof wrong since debuting, winning a Warwick Farm maiden at his first start back in April and subsequently finishing the runner up in races at Randwick and Gosford. He’s another one that has since been freshened, had a couple of trials and gets the services of James McDonald on Wednesday.
3. Mr Miller (2) 59kg122x
We haven’t seen Fierce at the races since March, but he turned in some strong performances last time in, winning easily first up before a couple of competitive performances at Rosehill and Newcastle. Two recent trial performances add further confidence, and we can have an each way bet at current odds ($6 at publish).
9. Fierce (6) 57.5kgx142x
Having won a BM68 sprint out at Hawkesbury at his first run back from a break, The Little General was flat at his second run at Canterbury but was only just denied in midweek metro company last time out. He steps out this week in peak order and can make all of his own luck from a prominent position in the run under the urgings of Tim Clark.
7. The Little General (9) 57kg5×172
Best – Race 2 No. 14 Satin Serenade
Next Best – Race 5 No. 3 Mr Miller
Value – Race 7 No. 7 The Little General
