INDAMOUSE (3) has been affected by wide barriers in both runs this preparation but now receives a favourable draw.
The David Vandyke-trained gelding resumed over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast, settling a long way back before closing strongly to finish fourth, beaten 2.3 lengths.
He again settled back over 1400m at Eagle Farm last start and recorded the fastest final 400m despite being held up late. He finished fourth, beaten 1.2 lengths.
Ryan Maloney takes the ride and should be able to position him closer from the inside draw.

AGADOO (8) has encountered some setbacks since moving north from Tasmania but now steps up in distance with Taylor Marshall booked.
The Aiden Nunn-trained mare was slow away at Eagle Farm two starts ago but worked home strongly in restricted room to finish second, beaten 1.53 lengths.
She appeared likely to challenge over 1200m here last start before being blocked and losing momentum. She recovered to finish in the placings.
Barrier 4 should allow Marshall to settle her in a favourable position, while the rise to 1350m looks suitable.

COMPEL (2) makes her debut after two trials and looks ready to perform well.
The Chris & Corey Munce-trained filly produced a solid effort in her first trial before improving in her latest hit-out.
She settled behind the leader in that trial and then worked through the line strongly under her own steam to win by a length in good time.
Ryan Maloney retains the ride, and the addition of blinkers suggests she may be ridden positively from the outset.

WEOWNACHEVY (11) has a useful form reference through Why Wait, who has since returned to win and maintain an unbeaten record.
The Andrew Parramore-trained gelding was spelled after his narrow debut defeat and resumed last month with a sound third, beaten 1.87 lengths, behind Exceed The Sale.
He has since trialled well, finishing strongly from near the back to win his latest hit-out.
Bella Youngberry’s 3kg claim is valuable, and the draw should allow her to give him a suitable run near the speed.

QUICKZOU (3) resumes with previous fresh form and has trialled well ahead of his return.
The Tony Gollan-trained son of Zoustar has had two trials over 1000m at Doomben, finishing close up on both occasions while appearing to have something in reserve.
He competed in stronger races last preparation and now gets the services of Ben Thompson.
Barrier 2 gives Thompson options. He may elect to hold the lead or allow runners drawn wider to work across before settling behind them.

GORBACHEV (2) improved sharply second-up after an interrupted return.
The Michael Freedman-trained gelding was eased out of his first-up run before showing much more over 1400m at Eagle Farm last start. He used his early speed to cross and lead before fighting strongly to win narrowly.
He is now third-up and has won his only previous start over this course and distance.
Jace McMurray’s claim leaves him with only 0.5kg more in the same class. The outside barrier is a concern, but he should have sufficient speed to cross.

The Rob Heathcote-trained mare has had two trials, with her latest producing an impressive closing effort and a comfortable win under her own steam.
She won over this course and distance first-up last preparation after recording the best closing sectionals of the race.
A reasonable tempo would assist her, and Taylor Marshall should look to keep her away from the fence in the straight.

The Annabel & Rob Archibald-trained gelding was unable to match the subsequent Saturday Midway winner Clear Proof over 1350m at Canterbury last start and weakened late.
His earlier form was more encouraging. He won over this distance at Wyong before finishing second in stronger company at Warwick Farm.
Jace McMurray claims 1.5kg, and Rimbaud’s early speed should allow him to settle in a prominent position.
