Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Cambridge Harness on Thursday 21 May.
Really tidy improvement from the two Manawatu runs to open the career to what we saw last week from The Last Yarn (1). On the right trajectory and finds an even maiden field here and comes up with the ideal barrier draw to work from. Should be in the fight for a very long way.

Got it all right last week at The Park and the late work from Tizours (5) up the passing lane was really strong. Hopefully that was a good confidence building run and there’s more improvement in there for this week too. Looks to have a lot of speed, just needs to bring the manners.
Selections: 5-1-2-4-3
5. Tizours (5) J: Zachary Butcher 83T: Zachary Butcher
The odds on offer this week for Miki Mirage (6) aren’t quite as good as what we had last time out but the run then was very good for second and if anything, this one looks a bit easier. Should roll forward from the draw and on the speed out of trouble looks a leading chance.
Selections: 6-2-5-10-9
6. Miki Mirage (6) J: Crystal Hackett 09342T: Michelle Wallis & Bernie Hackett
Backed up some really nice form of late with a much deserved win last week and there’s no reason why Grace N Elegance (1) can’t repeat the effort either. Gets a nice handicap advantage over some of the key rivals and if able to trot onto the speed early then should be right there to strike late.
Selections: 1-8-9-7-2
1. Grace N Elegance (1) J: Holly Moralde Sands 38461T: Michelle Wallis & Bernie Hackett
Super win here last week and it’s not a huge jump up from that to tonight either. Likely to look to roll forward from the draw and get onto the speed and if able to find the front then will ramp things up inside the final lap and leave them chasing.
Selections: 7-9-2-3-5
7. He’s Tough (7) J: Harrison Orange 48831T: Barry Purdon & Scott Phelan
Trotting big and bold at the moment and really good in almost all of the starts since arriving in the north. Kamilla (6) wouldn’t need to go much better tonight either to be the one they all need to beat in this line up. A big hope.
Selections: 6-9-7-3-2
6. Kamilla (6) J: Ollie Gregory 51832T: Michelle Wallis & Bernie Hackett
