One win from 31 starts doesn’t make for great reading but take into account all the placings and fourths and fifths Blackjack (2) has notched up and the career record is pretty good. Slides down into the amateur grade here off the back of an eye-catching fourth in a good field last week. Anything close to that here will be good enough to win.

Another week and another start where Ruthless Emma (4) finds herself on top of the selections. Really unlucky in both of the last two starts and just needs a bit of room at the right time to be winning a race like this. Shouldn’t get too far off them this week and with a clear shot, should win.

Decent slide back in grade for Enoka (6) here on some of the recent maiden assignments around the region. Handy enough here on a Friday night behind Admor Ella a couple of weeks ago and even better when fourth behind Royal Belle the start prior. Gets a golden opportunity here and should take it.

Lovely price on offer here for Waihemo Hannah (4) who is so well suited to these races. Has a good record in the grade and there hasn’t been a lot of luck in the last couple of runs. Should punch forward and get handy here and with a bit of luck looks a huge each way hope.

No luck here last week in a juniors race for Style Council (6) but hit the line really well when the gaps did come. Right kind of run and he’s going to win a race at short notice and it could be in this line up which is very wide open. Nice price to get involved.

Hard not to be impressed by the maiden win of Macy Royale (6). That was here on a Friday night against a decent enough field. Gets an experience advantage on a few and even from the wide draw, looks to have the speed to reel them in again.
