UFC Fight Night Preview & Tips | Sunday 26 April

A Featherweight main event will headline the card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas this Sunday.

Former Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will attempt to put a halt on the rising superstar Youssef Zalal and put his name in contention for a second belt in the UFC.

There are plenty of fights to look forward to on the card and my top three best bets can be found down below.

Aljamain Sterling
vs
Youssef Zalal
Featherweight Bout
Youssef Zalal To Win By Submission or Points @ $2.20

Sterling became the first fighter in UFC history to win a championship via disqualification when he received an illegal knee against Petr Yan when he was ground back in 2021.

Following that dramatic win he broke the record for the most consecutive UFC Bantamweight defences with three before losing to Sean O’Malley via TKO.

Since then, he has gone back up to Featherweight where he has a 2-1 record including wins over Calvin Kattar and Brian Ortega by decision.

Youssef Zalal made his UFC debut in 2020 but he had a tough time of it in the biggest promotion in the sport.

Despite two wins in a row to begin, he then failed to win in his next four fights and was ultimately dropped from the UFC.

Three first round finishes in Sparta earned him another shot in the UFC and one he has taken with both hands.

Five wins in a row has earned him this opportunity against a high ranked opponent as the headliner and he has now won five of his last fights by submission.

Despite a BJJ black belt and so many submission wins to his name, he is far from a one trick pony and I’m predicting he has too many weapons for his well credentialed opponent.

Norma Dumont
vs
Joselyne Edwards
Women’s Bantamweight Bout
Joselyne Edwards To Win By Decision @ $4.10

Brazilian Norma Dumont made her UFC debut at Featherweight in 2020 in a loss to Megan Anderson and moved down a division straight away.

She has stayed active since then and has won nine of her last nine fights and every one of them has gone to the judges for a decision.

In fact, three of them were split decisions.

Joselyne Edwards has been the opposite of that in recent times.

She’s won her last four in a row and all four have been finished.

That did break a streak of eight straight fights that went to a decision and it’s likely that these two will need the help of the judges to split them.

The lady with the highest output will likely get the nod and I’m confident that will be Edwards.

Rafa Garcia
vs
Alexander Hernandez
Lightweight Bout
Rafa Garcia To Win @ $2.05

Fight fans are in for a treat with this match in a very technical and interesting match up.

Rafa Garcia has won four of his last five heading into this one including a third round TKO over Jared Gordan in September 2025 which ended with some brutal elbows.

Eight of his 17 career wins have been by submission so getting this fight to the canvas would not be the worst plan of attack.

Alexander Hernandez is in search of his sixth consecutive win and his last two fights have been TKO wins against Chase Hooper and Diego Ferreira.

His overall record of 18 wins and 8 losses isn’t the best reading but he is clearly a man that is fighting well in recent times.

Both men are capable of finishing the fight but I’m predicting a three round war and at the value I’m siding with the outsider in betting as I believe this is more of a 50/50 than the market is suggesting.
