Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Motukarara Harness on Wednesday 22 April.
A maiden win probably should have already unfolded for There He Goes (5) after a string of handy enough efforts in good fields, but there won’t be a better opportunity than this one to break through. A small field to negate from the widish draw but anything close to the second last time out should be good enough to win.
Selections: 5-1-6-7-4

Not a bad run in sight this time in from Georgia Trouble (8) and they’ve come in strong Sunday fields. Stepping well and should land in a good spot today with good manners again and with any kind of luck in the running will be hard to beat today.
Selections: 8-6-3-2-7
8. Georgia Trouble (8) J: Gerard O’Reilly x2445T: Michael Heenan
Nice set up here for Art Jordan (1) today from a good draw. Has been pretty handy in the last few months in good fields up and down Canterbury and with a sweet trip here today on the markers is more than good enough to scoot through and get a huge slice of the pie today.
Selections: 1-3-4-9-6
1. Art Jordan (1) J: Ricky May 78643T: Alan Russell
Some really strong efforts of late from Taumutu Lad (6) since joining the Sarah O’Reilly stable and the third at Methven behind Rena looks nice form for a race like this. Dangerous when saved for the one run at them and just needs the chance to present and charge home here.
Selections: 6-3-11-12-5
6. Taumutu Lad (6) J: Thomas Borcoskie 82163T: Sarah O’Reilly
Decent work recently from Maroubra (2) and while the wins aren’t stacking up, the experience is and seems to be getting better with each effort. A big chance to land on the speed here in what is a very wide open trot and if able to grab the sweet trip, can have the final say.
Selections: 2-7-8-11-4
2. Maroubra (2) J: Kerryn Tomlinson 18065T: Ken Ford & Amanda Tomlinson
Up from the deep south and building in confidence, Putere Boy (10) can be the somewhat surprise packet here today. Better for the run at Methven and should land a really nice trip here behind a likely on pace runner. No work done and a cold shot at them and look for him late.
Selections: 10-4-11-9-1
10. Putere Boy (1) J: Jonny Cox 89625T: Brent McIntyre
He’s not a prolific winner, but Magical Max (8) barely runs a bad race and lands in a very winnable assignment today, even from the wide draw. Should get into the race at some point here and if able to find the front then becomes very hard to beat.
Selections: 8-7-10-9-2
8. Magical Max (8) J: Blair Orange 45302T: Kevin Fairbairn
Has just been a little below par in the most recent runs, but Jasprit Trouble (8) wouldn’t need to improve much to be a major player here today. Good manners are always there and can be dangerous when saved up for the one run at them. A good beginning, a nice trip and should be right there.
Selections: 8-6-7-10-2
8. Jasprit Trouble (8) J: Riley Harrison 44657T: Michael Heenan
A last start winner here on this track Franco Tim (1) gets the perfect chance to make it two-in-a-row here. Not a huge step up in grade and with a nice trip on the markers should be able to follow a good speed and really wind up late and burst through for victory.
Selections: 1-3-10-5-4
1. Franco Tim (1) J: Gemma Thornley 53341T: Chris Thornley
