Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Winton Harness on Thursday 26 March.
Another strong effort last time out from Rockin Roman (6) and it would seem it is only a matter of time before a win unfolds. Nice option today in what is a very wide open field and if able to get into the right position early then should be hard to stop.
Selections: 6-3-2-5-8

Two super runs for second in both runs back from a spell and while the barrier draw isn’t quite as appealing this week, still expecting Rocknroll Ivy (6) to try and get across them at some point and dominate this. Should get there too.
Selections: 6-1-3-4-9
6. Rocknroll Ivy (6) J: Ellie Barron 0x22T: Stephen Balloch
First starter from the Matty Williamson stable, New Mexico (4) steps out with good breeding and some tidy trial and workouts performances in the bank. Seems a sensible enough trotter too, but will need to be in a big field. No doubt the ability is there.
Selections: 4-10-6-9-3
4. New Mexico (4) J: Matthew Williamson T: Matthew Williamson
Canterbury raider Suva Baby (2) comes down here after showing plenty in her trials up the road ahead of today’s debut. Respect the stable and respect the driver and from the good draw should be in front and out of trouble and hard to run down.
Selections: 2-3-1-9-4
2. Suva Baby (2) J: Carter Dalgety T: Cran & Chrissie Dalgety
On ability alone, none here would match up to Harriet’s Moment (7) but Harriet’s Moment’s biggest issue is often herself. She tends to find ways to get beaten but in this field today, she’d only have to trot and be the one they all need to beat. Surely, it’s her day.
Selections: 7-6-5-9-8
7. Harriet’s Moment (7) J: Wilson House 45100T: Phil Williamson
Really nice run in a fresh state at Gore the other day by Jaccka Elvis (3). Found the line with a lot of purpose and should be a whole lot better for that run too. Nice draw to work from here and if able to land in a good position then becomes the one they all need to beat.
Selections: 3-1-4-7-5
3. Jaccka Elvis (3) J: Daniel Anderson 1x7x5T: Brett Gray
This is a little easier than some of the recent assignments up in Canterbury for Aveross Majesty (11) and on ability alone, he’d likely be a little too good for this field. Needs the right trip but with a chance to unleash the speed should have the final say.
Selections: 11-3-7-10-5
11. Aveross Majesty (2) J: Denis O’Connell 63207T: Denis O’Connell
Third up from a spell today and off the back of a very good second behind Miki’s Deal last time out, First Light (10) should be ready to get back into the winners’ circle. The draw is a little niggly, but a decent run through from the second line and she should be right in play.
Selections: 10-5-9-4-8
10. First Light (10) J: Wilson House 5×572T: Craig Ferguson
