Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Palmerston North Harness on Thursday 12 March.
A really tidy effort on Tuesday from Super Fund (6) and slides into an even more winnable race this time around too. Wide draw, yes. But a small field and plenty of options. Going more than well enough at the moment to salute here.
Selections: 6-1-3-2-5

Nice work again here on Day 1 from Mass Disruption (5) and is building toward another victory. Good chance here off the 30m to jump and be handy throughout and wouldn’t need to go much better than Tuesday’s effort to win this one.
Selections: 5-8-9-7-2
5. Mass Disruption (2) J: Harrison Orange 31552 T: Jason Teaz
It’s a little surprising that Major Moonshine (6) hasn’t won a race yet. Has turned in some great performances in much better maiden fields than this, including down at Addington. Good run on Tuesday and looks primed to notch that elusive victory up here.
Selections: 6-7-5-9-2
6. Major Moonshine (6) J: Emily Johnson 52352 T: Allan Shutkowski
Tuesday’s win was no fluke for Rack’em Up (6), he’s a really nice horse with a lot in front of him. Overcame a niggly draw to win too and backed up some good Canterbury form. Better set up here and expect him to be on the speed and hard to beat today.
Selections: 6-2-7-8-9
6. Rack’em Up (6) J: Peter Ferguson 31551 T: Andrew Drake
She gave them a bit of trotting lesson here on Day 1 and with a similar kind of set up, no surprise to see Very Majestic (7) do the same. Talented trotter on her day and has been competitive in far stronger races than this. Expecting another big effort.
Selections: 7-9-10-6-5
7. Very Majestic (0) J: Peter Ferguson 82191 T: Robert & Jenna Dunn
Another super run on Tuesday from Rough and Ready (7) to finish second behind Melton Mogul and meets him on even marks here tonight. That should be enough to tip the scales in his favour and if he’s close enough turning for home, he’ll win.
Selections: 7-6-3-5-4
7. Rough And Ready (0) J: Kate Coppins 12242 T: Arna Donnelly
Brave run on Tuesday for another career placing for Courage Reactor (10) and another win looks close at hand. Like the stalking approach that is likely to come today as best races have always been out of the early rush and charging through the line late. Just like it looks like this will pan out.
Selections: 10-4-2-5-1
10. Courage Reactor (10) J: Wilson House 72353 T: Michael House
