SARRISMO (7) heads north from Sydney following an impressive first-up performance.
Prepared by O’Shea & Charlton, the gelding maintained his unbeaten fresh record when leading throughout over 1400m at Warwick Farm and proving too strong late, scoring by 1.67 lengths.
A strong trial between runs suggests he has improved further second-up.
Despite drawing wide, he has the early speed to offset the barrier, with Ben Thompson expected to press forward and find a prominent position.

ANEMACORE (3) returns to more suitable conditions after finishing seventh in the Gold Jewel on a wet track.
The Shaun Dwyer-trained gelding has been in excellent form on dry ground, winning his previous three starts on good surfaces.
Two runs back, he charged home to win the Sunshine Coast Cup.
He was seven weeks between runs last start, so improvement is expected, and the step to a mile looks ideal.
With limited speed in the race, Michael Rodd should secure a comfortable position in running.

DANXIA (2) has continued to progress since joining the Colt Prosser stable from Ciaron Maher.
The son of El Roca showed determination to win in heavy conditions at Coffs Harbour last start.
His first-up win on a dry surface at Beaumont was particularly strong, finishing powerfully under a big weight.
Third-up here, he should be nearing peak fitness.
A favourable draw and a 3kg claim for Corey Sutherland further enhance his chances.

FIRST MISSION (6) worked early when resuming at the Gold Coast but stuck on well to finish second, beaten just a length.
Since joining Kelly Schweida’s stable, he has been highly consistent, placing in all four runs last preparation.
He was unlucky not to win second-up last campaign over this trip at Eagle Farm when narrowly beaten after struggling for clear running.
Blinkers are applied for the first time after the jockey noted he lost focus in the straight last start.

PRINCE LEVI (3) is racing in outstanding form and looks well placed again.
The William Kropp-trained gelding showed great determination last start at the Gold Coast, winning narrowly over 2050m carrying 60kg.
Three starts back, he produced a dominant performance over this course and distance, winning by 1.82 lengths with a perfectly timed ride.
The drop to 54kg is significant given his smaller stature, and an inside draw should allow for an economical run.

LOVEY DOVEY (9) has been in excellent form this preparation.
The Chris Waller-trained mare was unlucky not to win last start, charging home to miss by a nose behind Prince Levi.
Prior to that, she recorded back-to-back wins at Ipswich over staying trips.
She has consistently produced strong closing sectionals, including the fastest final 600m and 200m splits in a recent Eagle Farm run.
She is race-fit and drops in class, which makes her highly competitive.

TRUE AMOR (1) had excuses two starts ago when slow to recover after his stable debut for Munce.
He bounced back last start with a tough win over 1200m at this track, sitting handy and holding on narrowly.
The son of I Am Invincible has since trialled well.
He looks suited stepping up to 1350m, a distance he has previously gone close over.
With a 3kg claim for Courtney Bellamy, he should roll forward and settle prominently.

CASTILLIAN (1) showed significant improvement last start at the Gold Coast.
He produced a dominant 2.26-length win over 1400m after being ridden positively.
Trained by Tony Gollan, he has an excellent record at this course and distance, missing the quinella just once in five attempts.
Expect similar tactics here.
If he controls the race up front, he will be hard to run down.

DOMINANT DARCY (3) has been in outstanding form this preparation, winning four of her five starts and improving each time she steps out.
That was evident again last start at the Gold Coast where she proved too strong, scoring by 1.69 lengths, and she now returns to a track she clearly thrives at having won all three starts over this course and distance.
Emily Lang reunites with her and should secure the run of the race from the inside draw.
