Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Addington Harness on Wednesday 25 February.
Hasn’t won one for a long time, but Style Council (5) gets a grand chance here. Has been knocking around in some strong fields over the past few months and slides down into the amateur grade today. A great follower of speed, look for him to be charging at them late.
Selections: 5-4-6-7-8
5. Style Council (5) J: Blair Wilmott 73863T: Kyle Cameron
Wouldn’t want to play a game of cards with her she’s that untrustworthy, but when Bonnie Bagrie (10) turns up in the right mood, she’s a pretty capable trotter. We haven’t seen that for a while and she’s not exactly one to back with a whole heap of confidence but with no mistakes she should be winning this.
Selections: 10-5-8-7-2
10. Bonnie Bagrie (0) J: John Dunn 76000T: Matt Purvis
An impressive first up win for the Diamond Racing team last time out by Normie Stead (6) and you could argue that assignment was a little tougher than this one despite the step up in grade. A chance to roll forward and take this race by the scruff of the neck here and not look back.
Selections: 6-2-1-4-3
6. Normie Stead (6) J: Riley Harrison 56381T: Robert & Jenna Dunn
A bit of an oddity here is Dynasty (10) given the fact her last race was in the Gr.1 mares feature behind Debbie Lincoln a fortnight ago and here she is lining up in a trot. Has shown some good ability in the gait before and if the manners are there she might just simply be too good for them.
Selections: 10-6-2-5-9
10. Dynasty (0) J: Bob Butt p10xT: Bob Butt
She’s got a few tricks up her sleeve does Shards Lyric (13) but what she also possesses is a pretty strong motor and if she can score up and do everything right here today, she’d be a little too good for this field. The fourth at Nelson in a good field is a nice pointer for this, repeat that and win.
Selections: 13-2-1-8-10
13. Shards Lyric (0) J: Sarah O’Reilly 649T: Brent & Tim White
More good than bad of late from Playing With Stars (2) and from a good draw tonight in a field that looks well within range, should be in all the right places from which to launch a pretty strong winning claim on this. Doesn’t mind doing a bit of work either.
Selections: 2-8-10-11-14
2. Playing With Stars (2) J: John Dunn 03276T: Tom Bagrie
Just the right sort of race for Santanna Mach (6) to step out in and make a serious play for success this one. Just does enough most weeks but if he was to get to the front at any point and roll them along then they might not be able to run him down.
Selections: 6-10-7-5-4
6. Santanna Mach (6) J: Wilson House 17664T: Michael House
A nice wee slide back in grade today for Didjaseemiki (4) after stepping out against some nice types like Scotlyn Crunch and Ukraine in the past two runs. Nothing spectacular in those runs, but with a good draw here should be in the hunt for a long way.
Selections: 4-7-6-8-10
4. Didjaseemiki (4) J: Robbie Close 77748T: John Howe
