Much more like it last time out from B D Hall (6) with a bold second. Heading back in the right direction and should appreciate getting back to Addington too. Big bold trotter who could be dangerous if allowed to trot to the front at any stage.

Sharp closing sectionals off a sedate tempo in her most recent trial have Elegant Delight (3) ready to run a race here on debut. Wide draw is a small concern, but if she gets a nice run into it, you’d expect her to be running on strongly in a wide open maiden field.

After such a strong start to the racing career, things have gone a little awry in the standing starts for He Aint Fakin (8). Seems to want to pace away from the mark and is getting way out of his ground. No doubt the ability is there, just needs to find that rhythm quickly and he’ll be in play.

Back in winning form again last time out and Ukraine (8) might just go on with it too. Finds a really nice race to make a serious play in here and even from the wide draw would have the respect of everything else if he went looking for the lead. Best version wins.

Reliability and consistency land One Over Da Line (1) on top here. Racing really well at the moment and if he catches it right and gets onto the speed then he’ll be in play for a long way and very hard to beat in what is a wide open trotting field.

Green as grass here last week when all but refusing to take the passing lane, but Show Stopper (3) gets a shot at redemption here from. Shouldn’t be tucked away behind runners tonight and if able to find the front you’d expect him to be saluting.

Went back last week and by the time Bazooka (8) got rolling, the race was over. Different set up here from the wide draw and might just chance the arm and roll forward and leave them with something to chase. Own terms on top and he’s hard to beat.

The small field really suits Pinseeker (5) here. With his high cruising speed, he can stay out of the early rush and launch into it when he likes. Alternatively, he could blast across them here and lead and if he relaxes, can ramp things right up and out sprint them all.

A champion trotter who needs no introduction, Muscle Mountain (9) is back for another campaign. Loves racing fresh and even from the wide draw here has plenty of options. His class has him winning this race nine times out of 10.

A lovely return to racing here last week from Beside Me (7) and she’ll only be better for that too. Has the respect and the right man in the bike to roll forward and look for the top here and if she was to find the front, then she’s definitely the horse to beat.

A Southland filly with good credentials, Havtimewillfly (7) comes north looking to cause a bit of an upset. Really strong in her last few starts, beating some nice types. She can stay out of the rush early and look to work into it late and with her high speed, she won’t be far away.

A lesson in experience for both horse and trainer/driver at Nelson but with that under the belt, Hawk Touie Louie (2) can step forward tonight. Right race for him, with the right draw and if he does everything right they’ll do well to run him down.
