An early gallop did nothing to help the cause of So Mystifying (7) on Tuesday but prepared to allow another chance here. Just needs to catch them on the right foot and if able to do that then is the superior horse in this race and should deliver.

Looked to be doing the best work over the line on Tuesday and with the benefit of that run under the belt then Sweet Willow (1) can pounce tonight. Markers the whole way is a big help and maps to get a sweet trip on the back of the likely leader. Big chance.

Brave run in defeat here on day one from Matai Harry (11). He’s still on the way up from a freshen up too. Will have to get around them all at some point but doesn’t mind that style of racing and if he can land the spot outside the leader he’ll be hard to beat tonight.

Not much better form for the Manawatu than winning Auckland form and the manner in which Johnny Who (9) won there two weeks ago was impressive. Beat classy types like Hillbilly Blues and Belle Neige and even off the 40m handicap here looks awfully hard to hold out.

Did everything but win on day one, but Twista (5) can definitely go one better here today. Draws well compared to main rival and looks likely to try and roll forward and hold a top end position. With own terms in front should be able to control his way to success.

Another minor placing to add to the record on Tuesday from Major Moonshine (3). Making a strong start to the career and will be rewarded with a victory at short notice. Nice chance tonight. Draws well and the confidence levels are high so the one they need to beat.

A brave effort to run third here on Tuesday from SS Guppy (6) and likely to be a lot better for the first look at the track. Small field here tonight and racing well enough to salute, just needs that little bit of racing luck to fall the right way.
