Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Alexandra Park Harness on Friday, 7 November.
Talented two-year-old Cyclone Rebel (3) might have been beaten last week but was fresh up for a number of weeks and looked likely to take plenty of benefit from the run. Fitter tonight and lands in a good race again and should be finding the line with plenty of purpose.
Selections: 3-2-4-5-1
3. Cyclone Rebel (3) J: Matthew White 173T: Tate Hopkins
Nice progression over the past month from Patricia Ruby (7) and while a win hasn’t come her way yet the efforts have been very good. Manners are getting better and better and she might look to trot onto the speed here today and give them all something to think about.
Selections: 7-6-4-5-3
7. Patricia Ruby (0) J: Todd Mitchell 6×732T: Michelle Wallis & Bernie Hackett
Debutant Nazare (2) is a son of Downbytheseaside from the Arna Donnelly stable and brings some excellent trial form forward to tonight. Has won his last three public outings and done so with a bit in store and in nice time. Looks a nice race to kick off the career in from a good draw.
Selections: 2-4-5-1-3
2. Nazare (2) J: Andre Poutama T: Arna Donnelly
With high speed in abundance, Memories (3) looks a lovely bet here tonight. Slashing effort last week in a very strong field and should enjoy the slight step back tonight. Needs to trot but if anywhere in the first dozen turning for home might just be too quick for them.
Selections: 3-2-10-7-4
3. Memories (3) J: Todd Macfarlane 47223T: David & Clare McGowan
With a few runs under the belt now from a spell Words (3) should be at peak fitness and ready to rock and roll. Talented mare but she’s been her own worst enemy by over-racing. Likely to press forward again here and if she can relax she’s got the ability to withhold all challenges.
Selections: 3-2-6-7-4
| 3. Words (3) Scratched: | |||
Not many in better form at the moment in the north than Hooray Henry (7). He’s thriving on racing and loving turning up most weeks and giving his all. Similar set up to much of his recent racing here with a wide draw but he’s charging through the line and will be doing the same again here.
Selections: 7-1-2-5-6
7. Hooray Henry (7) J: Monika Ranger 24113T: David Butcher
In terms of all out ability not many here would match Loteria (3) but she’s her own worst enemy at times by getting things wrong. Looking for her to turn that all around here with a clean round and if she can do that then she’s a strong winning hope in this line up.
Selections: 3-4-1-5-6
3. Loteria (0) J: Josh Dickie 18138T: Sammy Kilgour
Good start to the racing career by Gloria Steinem (4) and the run last time out for third suggested a winning turn will be quick in coming. Finds a nice even maiden race tonight in which to make that happen and wouldn’t have to go much better than some of the recent runs to salute.
Selections: 4-5-3-2-1
4. Gloria Steinem (4) J: Tony Herlihy 43T: Tony Herlihy
