Matt Markham gives his best in all races at Invercargill Harness on Thursday, 16 October.
Impressive winning his last three public runs ahead of today’s debut, there’ll be plenty of eyes on 2 Proposition Joe. Looks a smart horse in the making and while he’ll get better with racing, there’s been enough in those runs to suggest a win on debut is highly possible. Big respect for the Gray/Barclay combination as well.

Excellent first up run from 5 Shezza Vinny at Gore. Really stuck to the guns all the way to the line. This field is no harder, in fact if anything it’s easier and with natural progression from that first run you’d expect a strong showing today.
Selections: 5-7-8-1-9

A bit to like about the first up run here from 2 Hez Blessed when third in behind The Last Maguire. Better for it and meets a pretty similar field so with a bit of improvement should be the horse they all need to catch today.
Selections: 2-8-9-7-5

Cracking run on debut last time out from 5 Justaweesip and really looks a pretty quick winner off that effort. Nice opportunity here today to try and take bad luck out of the equation and make this race her own. If she finds the front, then she’s awfully hard to beat.
Selections: 5-3-1-8-6
5. Justaweesip (5) J: Peter Hunter 2T: Peter Hunter
Has arrived on the South Island scene in excellent fettle has 6 Rock Or Bust. Two really strong wins in the last two starts and Stonewall runners are proving very hard to stop when the trek down to these parts. Small field helps and he should bully his way to victory.
Selections: 6-1-2-5-3
6. Rock Or Bust (6) J: Nikita Burton 7×811T: Steve & Amanda Telfer
6 Cody Banner was in a good spot to launch from last week at Addington before getting things wrong. Prior form to that had been excellent though and if he was to find the front and keep them running then he’d prove hard to catch under these conditions.
Selections: 6-12-11-3-8
6. Cody Banner (1) J: Matthew Williamson 39330T: Ricky Allen
A much better horse than the sixth shown on the form line last time out from 8 Captain Amore. Third up today and should be ready to rock and roll and it would be no surprise to see an aggressive drive early to find a good position. Well in commission no matter what they approach it though.
Selections: 8-5-7-1-3
8. Captain Amore (8) J: Brad Williamson 80×36T: Alister Black
Really good in both runs back from a spell, 12 Walkinonsunshine slides in here quite nicely. Gets a handicap relief on key rivals and being such a quick stepper she should settle a long way in front of them. Big effort at Methven and anything close to a repeat of that here should be a win.
Selections: 12-5-17-16-7
12. Walkinonsunshine (3) J: Blair Orange 32×52T: Tom Bagrie
Nice set up for 2 Durrant here today. Doesn’t win them out of turn but rarely goes a bad one and punched through the line nicely last time. Draw should work out OK and with a bit of luck at the right time can win this at a nice quote.
Selections: 2-1-9-3-6
2. Durrant (2) J: Hayden Douglas 73973T: Ross Hope
