Trackside commentator Mark Rosanowski provides his tips for all 12 races at the Palmerston North Greyhounds meeting on Tuesday 22 July, 2025.
Know Expense (#2) ran on well for third over 525m after chasing a quality dog home this course & distance. Likes to push out early but got away with it a fortnight ago.
Selections: 2-3-7-8
My Mini Me (#3) put in a fair fourth on debut after early jostling. May look to push out based on that run. Tricky quadrella opener.
Selections: 3-6-4-8
Ludlow Lad (#4) won a similar race here in April. Recent form down the straight track has been ok. Each way play in another open affair.
Selections: 4-8-6-7
Big Time Ness (#7) is a recent downgrader ran into a solid third at Hatrick on Friday. Much better on this track.
Selections: 7-4-3-8
Tapu Girl (#5) bagged two maiden wins in moderate times but impressed with her ability to negotiate traffic. Can take the step up but it’s not a gimme.
Selections: 5-7-2-1
Big Time Bullet (#3) was expensive for punters here when sixth but he was blocked for a run for much of the way. Got it right at Hatrick on Friday & posted a decent time. Can grab a bonus c3 win.
Selections: 3-8-9-5
Big Time Super (#8) beat a few of the same rivals at Hatrick on Friday & was much stronger through the line than she has been to date in this campaign. Strong record here.
Selections: 8-7-2-5
Keyara (#7) beat a good dog home in a c2 final at Addington. Three runs on this track to date have been over 457m. Shorter trip suits better.
Selections: 7-5-2-3
Green Gold (#1) led throughout to beat the favourite 8 Fear to Tread on Friday reeling off an electric first sectional. 6 Harry Bond ran an encouraging second here a fortnight ago then scrambled at the start at Cambridge. Each way play.
Selections: 1-6-8-3
King Harvest (#2) is a track & box specialist coming in fresh on the downgrade hence he’s shorter in the market than his formline would suggest.
Selections: 2-4-6-3
Romantic Rebel (#1) was unlucky at group 1 level last start. Won a maiden race here at his only prior visit over a year ago. Recent win at Cambridge is a good guide for this.
Selections: 1-7-8-4
Opawa Simpson (#3) didn’t cop the straight track first up there despite a market push. Impressive win prior here coming from off the pace.
Selections: 3-2-4-7
