Trackside commentator Mark Rosanowski provides his tips for all 11 races at the Palmerston North Greyhounds meeting on Monday, 19 May, 2025.
Johnny Football (#6) has won his last five & eight of his last nine with only 7 Long Non White disrupting the sequence on April 1. Painfully short in the market for a reason.
Selections: 6-7-8-5
Opawa Evans (#4) is a smart Canterbury visitor dashing through the grades. First look here but has won three times on a similar track in Invercargill.
Selections: 4-5-6-7
Mister Efficient (#5) was just that when resuming with a sprint win at Addington on Friday. Has been here before & should have the measure of this field.
Selections: 5-3-7-4
Big Time Lauren (#8) clung on well for an overdue win at Cambridge on Thursday. Capable of crossing this smaller field.
Selections: 8-2-5-3
Perfect Harry (#1) was impressive overcoming a slow start to win in this class at Addington. Has been here before & has won at Ascot Park.
Selections: 1-6-5-3
Zara Jem (#3) is a Canterbury visitor with early speed. Desperately close third at Ascot Park last Wednesday after leading most of the way. Placed here in March.
Selections: 3-4-5-7
Jane’s Panama (#3) railed expertly to win from the midfield at Hatrick on Friday in this class. Runs this track well too.
Selections: 3-4-8-2
Twisted Truth (#8) won a messy race at Addington on Friday beating three of his four rivals in the process. Has looked to run inwards to date but the small field should help.
Selections: 8-3-7-2
Space Conspiracy (#2) is building an impressive record on this track & has the early speed to build a lead over 3 Big Time London who ran a faster time than her when they both won at Cambridge last Thursday.
Selections: 2-3-6-4
True Ability (#2) went unbeaten in four starts here in April & added a sprint victory to the sequence at Addington on Thursday. This won’t be easy as he wants to run out while the 5 So Strict & 4 Big Time Ashton will be angling for the rail.
Selections: 2-5-4-6
Double Please (#5) was likely to finish second on Friday at Hatrick when the lure had to be pulled up & a no-race was declared. Is on the way up & could test his more favoured Canterbury rivals who both boast solid credentials. Easiest to take all three in the quadrella.
Selections: 5-4-6
