LIV Miami | Tips & Preview

Joaquin Niemann has won two of the four events so far this season and is playing as well as anyone on the planet. He profiles tremendously here. He leads LIV in Par 5 Scoring while he ranks 2nd in Scrambling, 4th in Par 4 Scoring, 4th in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and Driving Distance. Finished T-9 here last year.

David Puig is a young Spaniard who has been completely under the radar while playing some quality golf. He has finished Top 6 in six of his last eight tournaments including three of the four LIV events this season. Ranks Top 5 in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee, Driving Distance, Strokes Gained: Long Approach, Par 5 Scoring and Scrambling.

Tom McKibbin has been very good since making the shift to LIV this year. He has been super off the tee and that is key here. He ranks 5th in Driving Distance and 6th in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee. Has three Top 7 finishes in his last four starts.

Peter Uihlein leads the Tour in Driving Distance and that is a major plus on such a long track. He also ranks 2nd in Strokes Gained: Short Approaches. Clearly has the right kind of game for Trump Doral.

Lefty has been generally out of the mix in LIV this year but gets a great chance on a genuine bomber’s track. Phil Mickelson leads LIV in Strokes Gained: Long Approaches while he ranks 7th in Par 3 Scoring.

David Puig is an outstanding bet this week and being longer than Rahm and Garcia in betting makes him an appetising bet in the Top Spaniard market.

Dean Burmester won this event last year and looks set for another good tournament. He is long off the tee and has a great long approach game. Short but should be winning.
