Trackside commentator Mark Rosanowski provides his tips for all 12 races at the Whanganui Greyhounds meeting on Friday 22 November, 2024.
The only dog that got near her when winning in this class last start was a southern visitor. Has become a reliable beginner & is hard to catch again.
Selections: 4-6-3-8
Has been brilliant on this track to date with two fast wins & a close second to one of the country’s best when fresh up. Had no luck at Addington. Quaddie anchor.
Selections: 2-4-6-3
Yet to win here but might not get a better chance with a close enough draw off the back of a solid third at Manawatu on Tuesday. Each way play but need quaddie cover.
Selections: 3-2-7-5
Comes in a touch fresh with a critically important rail draw. Has been a slow trapper to date but is worth the risk. Might need the first four selections in the quadrella.
Selections: 1-3-5-8
Improved markedly from her third here a fortnight back into last week’s big win. Probably repeats with the same performance although 7 Big Time Bora remains a legitimate threat.
Selections: 5-7-4-6
Is easily the fastest dog here with the only doubt being his desire to cut left into traffic which was costly at Addington. Hard to bet against but might find better place odds around the downgrading 3 Why A Rapper.
Selections: 5-3-2-6
Up in class & gets a tricky trap but the odds appeal after a dominant win in a time none of his rivals have produced in the past.
Selections: 8-5-6-4
Led up in a sharp 7.04 fresh before succumbing to two handy hounds. Nice each way price & the top2 odds appeal especially.
Selections: 1-3-5-6
Had his chance when fourth in the NZ Cup but had battled back into second by the lure. The 7 should help him early & might hinder 6 Fear To Tread who beat Go when they met here last month. She’s worth inlcuding on a percentage quaddie ticket.
Selections: 8-6-2-3
Distant second in the fastest race of the night when downgrading. 6 Big Time Redeem was OK running into fourth after an ordinary start. Ran a competitive time prior.
Selections: 5-6-4-7
Was held up then checked off heels when a short-priced favourite at Manawatu. This race sets up nicely for him even allowing for his tardy trap manners.
Selections: 2-3-7-6
Didn’t enjoy 457m on a wet day at Cambridge. Fast winner here the time before & this looks to be his sweet spot at present.
Selections: 3-1-8-7
