Alexandra Park Race 8 | At some point you need to follow your gut, and I think this is the best trotter in the race. Last start off 30 meters worked around to the front and just run out of puff the last 200 meters. I think being back to the mobile will be perfect and over the 1609 meters will bring him right into it. I think the $21 & $5s is huge overs and should be at $9s.
Invercargill Race 4 | He got it wrong on Friday night when well backed. I think he only needs to trot early here to give this a massive shake, and his trial prior to last Friday was very nice. He looks a lovely trotter in the making and can win a few this prep, I believe. Hopefully he is aptly named for this time of year and is the Present Maker.
Invercargill Race 8 | Luckless from horrific draws in recent Group One features. Big runs all the same though. Here’s her chance to dominate. Positive drive nets a positive result. $2.30 & $1.26.
Invercargill Race 5 | Debut run was very good, only going down late. No luck last start after being parked out the trip. Draws the one and will get a cozy sit, either leading, or possibly trailing, behind the 2. I think this horse will start a lot shorter. $6.00 & $2.25.
Invercargill Race 11 | Smashed them last week by half a lap with a flat tyre. Classy mare, looks thrown in again here. Will start shortest fav of the day. Exacta with Snapshot, who looks the only one that should get within viewing distance.
