The weekend’s thoroughbred best bets from across the Boys Get Paid community.
3YO racing against older horses for the potent combo of Cambridge Stud, Lance Noble, Warren Kennedy. First up last start was held up early in the straight but finished strong behind Midnight Edition and I’m All In who have been competitive against some of our best 3YOs at times this season. Start before that in October was within 2L of Kitty Flash and Kiwi Skyhawk, and beat Sought After. That form should stack up here and I think we can confidently have a bet being a bonus back race!
This filly has been knocking on the door its last two starts over 1600, the money has come early. Craig Pay the Bills Grills jumps on board. A good EW play on Friday.
This horse was very disappointing last start but the stewards report doesn’t show too much so we are going to have a roll of the dice at $10. Goes good at the 1,400m and has been going ok in fair company prior to the last start head scratcher. We have to beat You Say D’orsay but we could surprise this field with the light weight and good draw.
Big step up for him in the G2 Japan Trophy Race but I feel he is worth a throw at the stumps. Has won three of his last four including a win last start over 1600m in 1:34:54 carrying 61kgs. He is three from three at Tauranga, and from a good draw, he could well take some catching in this.
Has burnt punters on a number of occasions recently but expect a better showing on Saturday with a gear change. Sectionals were strong last start and the extra 200m will suit. Trialed nicely during the week. $15 FF $18s on the odds surge.
