The weekend’s best bets from across the Boys Get Paid community.

MATT
8 Sweynesday
Race time:

Te Rapa Race 7: This is an even field with a few nice horses, but I’m going to trust my gut with Sweynesday as I think he’s pretty good. Last start was beaten by a head by Twain when running about a bit in the straight. He’s won at 1200m before and should be peaking third up. Hopefully puts away a good field and goes onto bigger and better things.

4 Proboy
Race time:

Tauranga Race 5: This horse was excellent on debut behind Richard & I, and it was an eye catching run last start over 1400 at Te Aroha behind Sax N Silks, who has form around Checkmate. The step up to 1600 looks ideal and from barrier 6 he can hopefully get a nice spot with cover and be too good for them. $4.00 & $1.80.

KEMEYS
1 Ears Back
Race time:

Invercargill Race 6: This horse was a bit stiff last start in the Group 3 TAB Mile, getting crowded late but only finished 2.5L from the winner. This is the first time this horse is up over this sort of ground but I want to be part of it. The horse is three from three at the track. Last year on the same day (also after the Couplands) with the same jockey, they sent the horse to the front over 1,600m and said catch me if you can. I am hoping for a good track which should trip up 2/3rds the field. We have a bit of weight to carry and need a bit to go our way but we are getting $7 (Odds Surge) to be a part of this spectacle. $6.00 & $2.10.

TED
4 Testify Me
Race time:

Te Rapa Race 8: Great run to finish third in the Wanganui Cup last start over 2040m. Has won two from four at Te Rapa and the step up to 2400m at start five this time in looks ideal. Earlier this year he won the St Leger at Trentham over 2600m and then next start won the Hawke’s Bay Cup over 2200m. Look for him to be finishing strongly in the straight. $6.50 & $2.40.

GOAT
6 Yaldi
Race time:

Te Rapa Race 5: Has a clear class edge on his opponents despite only being a 3yo in 65 grade. Stable in form and looks like a solid tempo will be set which will suit from his soft gate.

DAN
1 Con Grazia Love
Race time:

Alexandra Park Race 4: This mare has come back in fine form this prep. The Northern Trotting Oaks winner from a couple of seasons ago looks to have found that form again. This is a much tougher field this week but with a clean beginning from the inside of the front row and a nice run in transit, she should be a good each way bet.

SCANMAN
8 Styx Jewel
Race time:

Addington Race 3: Last week showed that she looks like she is getting back into some nice form with a very good third in what looked to be a deeper race. Would only need to repeat that effort to go awfully close in this.

MARKHAM
2 Bettor Be Sharp
Race time:

Addington Race 10: Really consistent pacer who should relish the opportunity on offer here tonight from a good barrier draw. Not a deep field this week and given he’s likely to be on the speed throughout it maps really well for him to go close to winning, if not at least running top 2.

GASSO
7 Muscle Sass
Race time:

Addington Race 8: Class act back to the mobile. Should be going forward from 7 and will prove a hard horse to get past. Significantly down in class.

FITZY
8 Lakelsa
Race time:

Addington Race 2: Gets in to this race ridiculously well. Gets a top junior on, in form barn. Hard to beat.
