Futurity Stakes Tips

Futurity Stakes tips on which horse will win the next edition of Victoria’s 1400m feature flood in as the countdown to the important Caulfield race heats up.

Futurity Stakes race tips on what horse will win the event this year are highly sought after by smart punters and racing fans every season.

When looking at Futurity Stakes race tips it is important to consider factors including:

  • What horses in the Futurity Stakes field are proven over the distance?
  • Who the key Futurity Stakes trainers and jockeys are and what horses they have in the Futurity Stakes field this year?
  • Futurity Stakes barrier statistics and where your Futurity Stakes betting selections are drawn.
  • Futurity Stakes horses that have a good past record at the track.

How long does it take to know if you placed a winning Futurity Stakes race tip? The event itself takes around 1 minute and 20 seconds for the competing horses to run the 1,400m trip depending on track conditions.

The official Futurity Stakes winner and winning Futurity Stakes trifecta are known shortly after unless there is a protest or a photo-finish Futurity Stakes result.

Who holds the Futurity Stakes race record? More Joyous holds the current Futurity Stakes race record winning in 2011 in a time of 1 minute 21:79 seconds.

What are the best Futurity Stakes lead-up races to look at when placing a Futurity Stakes bet?

There are a number of earlier summer / autumn races Futurity Stakes bound horses may contest in the lead-up including most notably the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) which was previously held at the same track and distance at the start of the month before moving to November in 2025.

Mr Brightside (2024) was the last horse to complete the CF Orr Stakes – Futurity Stakes double.

Mr Brightside (2nd in 2024) was the last horse to win the Futurity Stakes off a lead-up run in the CF Orr Stakes.

New Zealand-Bred Horses in the Futurity Stakes

Betting on the New Zealand-bred horses in the field is popular with the race results showing the Kiwi foaled horses have a dominant recent record against the locally trained gallopers.

Futurity Stakes Tips for a Trifecta

Futurity Stakes tips for a trifecta cover the first three horses to officially go past the finishing post in the Futurity Stakes results.

The horse to finish on top of the Futurity Stakes trifecta is your Futurity Stakes winner, the runner who outlasted all their rivals and finished in the fastest time.

Placing a Futurity Stakes trifecta exotic bet on the race is a great way to add to the thrill and potentially be rewarded with a generous pay-out.

A Futurity Stakes trifecta is only successful if the three horses in your bet finish in the exact order you predict. Punters may choose instead to box their trifecta bets on the Futurity Stakes to cover more finishing options and increase the chances of winning.
