No one ever knows what Angel Capital will produce, but if he’s anywhere near his best, he could put this field away in style.
The Chris Waller-trained gelding owns five wins and four placings from 17 starts, and some of his best wins have come at Caulfield. Coming back to this track could be enough to spark him into life after a moderate performance last start.
Ben Melham takes the ride from barrier 7, and he should get a nice drag into the race. It’s going to be a busy finish, so his experience and raw speed could be enough to win over 1400m on Saturday.

His weight rises from what he carried last year, but he’s a stronger type now, and he owns two wins from three starts at Caulfield. There is nothing holding him back for Saturday’s race, so punters shouldn’t be put off by his odds.
He’s an excellent value bet at the price, so include him in all bets.
