There have been plenty of chances for Zoom X (5) this time in, but none of them have come to fruition. That said, not bad races when you break them down and is knocking on the door of a success. Finds another good opportunity and will be out to make the most of it.

He’s got more ability than most in this race does Don’t Look Kobe (1) and there’s been some very encouraging signs in the last few starts too. Just needs to get away from the stand well enough to be close to the speed and his class should carry him the rest of the way.

Given a freshen up after a string of good efforts through July and August, Better Man (3) returns here and can really hunt down that first win. Has had a few chances now, but so have most in this and with a nice trip and a bit of luck at the right time can grab victory here.

Purchased into the Robertson stable after knocking around in the deep south, Ward Lamon (2) has always looked a little better than he has raced. Likely to look to get forward early here and if he’s on the speed and near enough then he should be winning first up in Canterbury.

This is a nice wee drop back for Courage Reactor (13) who has been pretty good in some decent fields of late. The Wednesday class really suits and would only need to be in a decent position turning for home to be a major player here at a huge each way quote.

Did everything but win here last week and Rapid Response (1) wouldn’t need to do anymore to be winning here. Good beginner who should land on the speed and perhaps trail the right horse. With a cold shot at them should be hard to catch.

Looked home for all money on the home turn last week, but the condition of Aspirational Dream (10) looked to blow out just short of the post. Better for that run here and if able to get onto the speed again then should take a power of catching tonight.

Cracking first up run here last week from Erratic (8) and should only be better for that too. Will look to stalk the speed again here throughout and then join in with the final say and looks primed to get the job done too.
