Getting back onto the all weather can be key for Lexington Queen (8) here. She’s got as much ability as any horse in this race and even from the wide draw if she ran up to her Canterbury trial form then she’d be awfully hard to beat in this line up.

Something clearly amiss here last time out with Luca (7) but expecting a sharp bounce back to form tonight, even from the 20m handicap. Just needs to trot and be close enough to them turning for home and should take all sorts of stopping.

A slightly different set up to the maiden win at Ruakaka for Mr Putt (3) here tonight but it still looks a race that is well within range. Good draw to work from will be a big plus early and with a run on the speed should take a bit of catching if things pan out well.

She’s no superstar Bettor Belle (2) but after taking on some very good fields so far this campaign she should find life a little easier here tonight. Should get the right kind of trip on the markers, be it in front or in the trail and with a cold shot and peak fitness can win.

Not bad here last week in a quickly run invited drivers race, Benson Dude (7) brings the best form forward and should really be making the most of it too. Chances aplenty on how things will pan out but if out and rolling at the right time would have to go close.

Manners, as always will play a key role in this lower grade trot and Sharp Image (6) has them in spades. Great price on offer for a horse who has a far higher ceiling than anything else in this field and is over the odds on the each way play.
