1 Mailman’s Coming won a qualifying trial at Manawatu before overcoming an interrupted run to finish third down the straight on debut behind 2 Bumper Bill. This track might bring out the best in him.

6 Tension hasn’t raced since August but recent trial times suggest she will resume with a win in this line-up.

2 Sprinkle Jean produced a solid second down the straight on Tuesday after winning in the fastest time of the night here last Friday. 6 Jilliby Finale ran past Sprinkle Jean to win a fortnight ago but couldn’t match her last week. Should provide the quinella again.

3 Pick the Gap couldn’t live up to her name down the straight track when in traffic. Won in this class here last week beating 7 Child Prodigy who hasn’t shown her best on this track yet. 2 Thrilling Gordon is a blowout quadrella prospect.

4 Need A Favour‘s easy straight track win midweek further enhanced the sprint record of this handy middle distance performer. Limited 305m experience but is drawn to get a clear run so should be too strong.

2 Big Time Kimetto was heavily backed to win last Friday but he was jostled from box 5. Looks far better placed today.

3 Need An Uber was a straight track winner on Tuesday and has the speed to lead this field & win unless 6 Sweet And Sassy can land handier today than she did last Friday.

6 Jilliby Eaton put in a determined effort to get home here a week ago before being nosed out down the straight. Up in class but her times measure up. Wide open field with 3 Laddu Rose an each way play on the downgrade. The outsider 7 Big Time Chur beat the favourite 5 I’ve Got Swagger on merit last Friday.

7 Big Time Brave continues to fade late six runs into this campaign but drops another class. 6 Run The Gauntlet is brilliant on his best day but can give his rivals too big a start as he did seven days back when second at $1.40.

3 Big Time Battle ran a bold fifth against a field of c3s last start & drops back to c1 tonight. Each way in a race where the favourite looks vulnerable.

4 Goldstar Minty showed up down the straight before being swamped but it’s not her favourite place. Beat 5 Spin Me Round on merit when third here last Friday so is at tempting odds.

4 Big Time June drops back to c1. Her last two efforts have been better & should be closer to peak fitness. Hard to take short odds with her though. 6 Big Time Tricky is the only c2 racing c1s. Ran off on the home turn here last week but her effort here a fortnight ago would probably take this.
