Fergie’s Girl (#2) won a qualifying trial at Manawatu recently as have Hawkes Bay Half (#4) & Big Time Kimetto (#6). Tricky race to sort but FG has trialled up the straight. Should be a good form race.

Chip (#3) narrowly won the corresponding race a fortnight ago beating most of the same dogs. Can again but might need quaddie cover.

Honky Tonk High’s (#1) winning chance was gone after three strides when favourite on Friday but did run on ok after a bad early bump. Races well enough here so should simply be winning this. Anchor.

Big Time Theo (#3) won over 520m in this class at Hatrick so he should be putting this field away at short odds.

Big Time Telea (#3) steps up to the big time but has run the figures to measure up & is on a seven race winning streak. Fool Me Once (#4) & Loveable Rogue (#7) are required on the quaddie ticket though.

Adobe Don (#7) doesn’t win out of turn but downgrades off some decent efforts so gets a great opportunity.

Bora Bora (#6) came from last to win first up in this grade on Friday. Solid win on this track prior. Thrilling Gordon (#3) has been performing well on all three tracks in the region. Clocked a slower time than BB here a fortnight ago but will be up for the challenge.

Big Time Martin (#6) bolted home on this track a fortnight ago. Isn’t the same force at Manawatu. Nice field but could anchor on one quadrella ticket.

Big Time Maestro (#5) was outstanding gunning down a form dog over 520m on Friday. One of a small number of dogs to have broken 17 seconds here. Star Boy Express (#6) thrives here & was pretty good at Manawatu last week.

Big Time Clarke (#3) is resuming after a three month break. Trialled well enough at Manawatu recently & lands in the right field. Mystic Luna (#7) went close here last time when fresh. Doesn’t win often but has an impressive array of placings here.

Cliff Top Vinnie (#6) put in a solid second when downgrading over 520m on Friday. Has won half of his eight starts here & wasn’t far behind the very best straight trackers when fifth here the time before. Simon Templar (#2) will be aided by the inside draw today.
