Trackside commentator Mark Rosanowski provides his tips for all 11 races at the Palmerston North Greyhounds meeting on Tuesday 24 June, 2025.
Johnny Football (#7) bravely defied the magnificent Chief Dribble over 650m at Cambridge last week to further his incredible record there. Doesn’t often get beaten on his home track either. 5 Tess offers place value of the Cleeve quartet.
Selections: 7-5-3-4
Green Gold (#3) led throughout over 520m at Hatrick on Friday. Is still on the up while her rivals are all battling to find their best form.
Selections: 3-5-6-2
Thrilling Zane (#3) won big in a similar race at Cambridge. Moderate record here is a bit deceiving as he’s been racing in much stronger fields over 457m.
Selections: 3-5-4-8
Max Effort (#6) gained his deserved maiden win at Addington on Friday & gets to run out nominations in the grade today. Pushed his impressive brother Twisted Truth when second in his only prior visit. 8 Texas Snakebite is also running out maiden nominations after winning well at Cambridge.
Selections: 6-8-5-3
Thrilling Issac (#3) scored a solid second here a fortnight ago after muscling through from the midfield. Gap between races probably works for him.
Selections: 3-2-6-7
Big Time Ashton’s (#6) gutsy third on Friday qualified him for the group one NZ Futurity final. This should be a confidence boosting win for him three days out from that.
Selections: 6-2-7-3
Adobe Underworld (#3) was beaten by a course/distance specialist here last time. Racing well in the twilight of his career & offers each way value in an open field today.
Selections: 3-9-4-5
True Ability (#2) is better drawn wider but he has made it work a few times before on this track. Got too awkward at the first bend when second last time to 4 Big Time Moose who has won since at Cambridge.
Selections: 2-4-3-5
We Ride (#2) downgrades on some fair performances especially the last start fourth. 5 Big Time Super should sprint well in a fresh state. Quaddie cover.
Selections: 2-5-7-3
Big Time London (#2) is not as dominant here as she is at Cambridge but will save ground running the rail which might be enough to catch likely leader Big Time Lime (#3).
Selections: 2-3-4-5
Twisted Truth (#8) looks a fine young dog in the making & has won twice from wide draws here already but the key difference today is a full field. Has to go on top but it might not be easy money. His sister 4 Yuki is an upset chance with even luck off a squeeze draw.
Selections: 8-4-1-2
