Cambridge Greyhounds Tips & Preview | Thursday 24 April

Trackside commentator Mark Rosanowski provides his tips for all 11 races at the Palmerston North Greyhounds meeting on Thursday 24 April, 2025.

Cambridge Race 1
3 Icy Hope
Race time:
High quality chaser stepping up in distance for the first time. Her sister Long Non White is very capable at the trip. 7 Schmeichel runs on like the 650m will suit. His Mum won over 603m.
Selections:  3-7-4-8
Cambridge Race 2
4 Big Time Devan
Race time:
Qualified in style at Hatrick then was a solid second on debut at Manawatu. Looks to have this field covered on ability. Quadrella anchor.
Selections:  4-8-6-7
Cambridge Race 3
8 Thrilling Nash
Race time:
Grading special given he won a c2 heat on Sunday & lines up against a c1 field today. 7 Undone is on the up but her maiden win was in a two-dog field. Her third at Manawatu was behind two promising dogs.
Selections:  8-7-6-5
Cambridge Race 4
8 Cut And Paste
Race time:
Perfect downgrade form & this is far easier than his most recent fourth in a c4/5 field down the straight track. Went within a length of the winner in c4 company here the time before. 5 Big Time Central looks each way value in this field after showing good pace over more ground at Manukau.
Selections:  8-5-2-4
Cambridge Race 5
7 Ivory Girl
Each Way
Race time:
Wide runner got tired late over 457m last time. Should be potent back to this distance.
Selections:  7-3-4-5
Cambridge Race 6
6 Aces
Race time:
Two tidy wins since finishing a black book third behind 7 Hooked on Jazz a fortnight ago. Nicely placed to still be racing in c1 for the next two starts.
Selections:  6-7-3-8
Cambridge Race 7
5 Oh My Venus
Race time:
Claimed late when third over 527m at Manukau. Won her prior three starts on this track.
Selections:  5-3-4-8
Cambridge Race 8
2 Big Time London
Race time:
Ran down Quintessential here last week & this is easier. Quaddie anchor.
Selections:  2-4-5-6
Cambridge Race 9
5 Fool Me Once
Race time:
Surprisingly hasn’t raced here since claiming the Waikato Cup in January. Returns in good form & will need to be in a field full of chances.
Selections:  5-2-4-1
Cambridge Race 10
6 Turtle Watch
Race time:
Smart chaser resuming over a sprint trip that he should be tough to beat over. 5 Big Time Proof is a versatile dog having just his second 375m race here.
Selections:  6-5-2-3
Cambridge Race 11
5 Opawa Blake
Tip of The Day
Race time:
Fitter for his fresh up sprint when he was tripped early. Derby heat winner that stands out like a beacon in this field.
Selections:  5-2-6-3
