Collin Morikawa did all but win last week when going down by a shot to Russell Henley in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Morikawa lacked the killer instinct in the final round but still did little wrong with a remarkable chip-in costing him the win. We will stick with him this week as he profiles beautifully. He leads the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green while he ranks 4th in Driving Accuracy, 7th in Bogey Avoidance, 8th in Putting Average, 9th in Scrambling and 13th in Par 4 Scoring. Putts best on Bermuda while his form on the correlation courses is very good. He is nearing a drought-breaking victory.
Patrick Cantlay is another who has not been winning but has been playing quality golf. Finished T-4 in two of his last four starts. He ranks 6th in Putting Average and 13th in Par 4 Scoring but the key with Cantlay is his form on the correlation courses. He has finished Top 5 at the last two Travelers and last two RBC Heritages. He loves Pete Dye courses and can run a big race this week.
Daniel Berger has been grinding hard as he pushes to find his old form that has eluded him since his injury layoff but he is nearing something very good. In his last eight starts, he has six Top 25 finishes including runner-ups in the RSM Classic and Phoenix Open. He has finished Top 13 at TPC Sawgrass at his last two starts. Christiaan Bezuidenhout is a super-consistent South African who has been playing well with a T-4 in Phoenix and a T-19 at the API. He ranks 5th in Strokes Gained: Putting, 10th in Scrambling, 13th in Par 4 Scoring and 15th in Bogey Avoidance. Loves Bermuda greens and has finished T-13 in each of his last two starts at TPC Sawgrass.
Alex Smalley is outstanding value this week – particularly in Top 10/20 markets. His profile is incredible. Smalley ranks 4th in Par 4 Scoring, 6th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 0th in Bogey Avoidance, 9th in Strokes Gained: Around The Green, 10th in Ball Striking and 14th in Scrambling. His form is excellent with Top 21 finishes in five of his last six starts.
Five Aussies tee it up at TPC Sawgrass and the value to finish on top is Puerto Rico Open winner Karl Vilips. He profiles nicely for here and is worth a ticket.
Harry Hall has been putting superbly all year and looks super value to finish top of the seven Englishmen set to tee it up.
